Operate glue applicator and build product packs to job specifications: read job cards, count pieces, verify glue points and alignment, inspect and repair packs, move materials, record production numbers, and assist material handlers. Work 1st shift with occasional overtime.

1st Shift Assembly Gluer

At our Martinsburg facility we have an immediate opening.

Hours are 5:30 AM– 4:00 PM Monday thru Thursday.

 Here are the major Responsibilities:

  • Read and verify job cards for each job
  • Responsible for building pack to job specifications (height)
  • Count pieces being fed into glue applicator to match required size of pack
  • Assist Material Handler with placing material onto lift/tilt table and removing once emptied
  • Verify glue points on product to ensure bonding throughout entire process
  • Lift and stack blades into carousel to required amount indicated on job card
  • Ensure each blade is in alignment with previous blade for smooth edges
  • Upon completion of pack, verify and adjust if necessary for quality
  • Pull out formed pack, inspecting all sides and repair as necessary (100% edge bond)
  • Push finished pack down roller-conveyor 
  • Remove boards off crates and stack for re-use
  • Scrape glue and move various products/items to home locations
  • Record and enter hourly/daily production numbers accurately and efficiently

Qualified candidates should possess:.  

  • Assembly experience is preferred.
  • High School Diploma or G.E.D preferred.
  • Other qualifications we’re looking for is requirement to stand for long periods, walk, twist, and bend and lift. Person must have above average manual dexterity to work with machines and materials.
