Job Description
The Global Training Manager will play a pivotal role in creating quality training materials focused on product, features and benefits to enable both internal and external sales resources to deliver exceptional customer service and support. In this cross-functional role, they will coordinate and work with each of the global product lines marketing teams to create and deliver training programs that will enable our team to meet annual plan objectives and drive organic growth.
Primary Responsibilities
- Creating detailed training plans for new sales representatives to accelerate learning/expertise of all FEG product lines & equipment including multiple levels of training plans for basic, advanced and refresher training including competitor analysis
- In coordination with product lines marketing teams, develop and deliver training for new product launches
- Develop and deliver training for Independent Rep Groups and Dealers that provides them with the tools to sell ITW FEG product lines while balancing our proprietary information
- Leader & conductor of ‘Oh Norman’ and other sales training modules including customizing programs as needed for ITW FEG Sales and Marketing
- Responsible for recommending, establishing certification programs and metrics
- Reports on training effectiveness of all training activities and makes adjustments where needed to improve effectiveness
- Identify new training opportunities and work with cross functional teams to create and deliver
- Develop and execute a comprehensive knowledge management strategy aligned with Annual Plan and Long-Range Planning objectives
- Responsibility for administration of LMS including establishing policies, standards and procedures for content development
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Training & Development, Education or equivalent experience
- 5+ years in a Training, Implementation or customer success role ideally in a global environment
- Strong communication skills with ability to work in cross functional teams
- Demonstrated ability to translate strategy into tangible actions items and execute effectively
- Experience managing project teams from inception through planning, execution and completion
- Proven ability to take initiative, work as a team leader and member and build collaborative relationships.
- Prior experience with food equipment industry preferred
- Results oriented
- Ability to travel up to 50% (domestic and internationally)
