Job Description
Albemarle hiring for a Global Trade Compliance Specialist. This position is hybrid and located in Budapest.
What You Will Do
The primary task of this role to handle customs and export control related activities in EMEA region. This role will also work with Sr. Manager Global Trade Compliance to implement trade compliance program across the region.
Main tasks and responsibilities:
- Support daily customs operations & escalations in Belgium, France (broker management)
- Product classification according to EU Taric and EU export control regulations
- Provide advisory support to other functions on export and import requirements, origin related topics including documentation
- Support monthly export and import report collection
- Manage trade compliance activities in SAP GTS system including but not limited to master data maintenance, denied party screening, review and release GTS blocks in line with relevant regulations. This role will act as a GTS superuser in EMEA region.
- Support Sr. Manager Global Trade Compliance in other customs and export control related initiatives.
What You Bring
Required:
- At least 3 years’ professional experience in customs or/and export control area preferably in multinational environment.
- Recognized customs or/and export control certification is a must.
- Proven knowledge and experience in customs valuation, customs classification and preferential origin management. Basic knowledge of export control regulations is required.
- Strong analytical mindset and solution- oriented approach
- Demonstrate time management and prioritization skills
- Willingness to develop your own knowledge
- Good networking and interpersonal skills (in English)
- Ability to work independently and in cross-functional team environment
- Advanced knowledge of MS Office and SAP systems
- Working proficiency in English (both written and spoken)
Preferred:
- The preferred candidate will have SAP GTS or similar system, functionality experience including export control, licensing control requirements.
- The preferred candidate has a good level of knowledge regarding excise goods and relevant regulations.
