Position Overview

The Global Supply Chain team seeks a Trade Compliance Professional to collaborate across the organization to manage driving processes and programs to ensure compliance with Customs laws and regulations and ensure accurate entry that meets Customs audit requirements. Our goal is to enhance the flow of commerce, instill a continuous improvement mindset, and boost reliability.

In close coordination with various cross-functional units such as Product Engineering, Manufacturing, Logistics, and Commercial teams, your role will entail ensuring timely availability of the correct products in the Distribution Centers/Fulfillment Centers to meet customer demands/

What You'll Do

  • Determine tariff classifications for imported and exported goods and periodically review to ensure accuracy.
  • Communicate with our vendors on Customs related matters to ensure proper compliance.
  • Remain informed and qualify all US Free Trade Agreements and advise the organization of changes.
  • Perform post entry audits of Customs entries including root cause and corrective actions.
  • Assist in maintaining Compliance Procedures are accurate and up-to-date.
  • Ensure the proper and timely filing of all post-entry reconciliation including voluntary tenders, protests or Supplemental Information Letters (SIL’s).
  • Provide day-to-day import, export controls and supply chain security guidance to internal customers.
  • Perform ad hoc Restricted Party & Diversion Risk Screening and review exception reports.
  • Review product documentation and determine correct Country of Origin designations.
  • Assume responsibility for necessary recordkeeping to ensure compliance with Customs requirements.
  • Manage Customs Brokers globally, ensuring SOP’s and KPI’s are developed and followed, audit programs defined, QBRs are scheduled and maintained, periodic review of costs and relationship is monitored.

Who You Are

  • Demonstrated attention to written detail and strong qualitative and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to problem solve escalated issues and develop creative solutions
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and collaboratively in a fast-paced, changing environment
  • Ability to communicate and influence effectively at all levels of the organization
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office and ERP, GTS, TMS, MRP software.

Education and Experience

  • Customs Broker License, if applicable
  • A minimum of 3-years customs experience in a large customs department or a customs brokerage house
  • Experience in Supply Chain and/or Logistics.
