As an Associate in Trade & Working Capital operations team, you will focus on developing & delivering business solutions related to the trade finance products offered by banks, including transactions such as import & export bills, foreign bill collection, banker's acceptances/reimbursements, letters of credit and open account trading. The team also provides transactional-based expertise to the business to ensure accurate and timely conduct in accordance with ICC guidelines, bank procedures & trade finance policy manual. The role requires a good understanding of risk management, transaction processing, retail banking, wholesale banking, trade settlements and trade processing
Job Responsibilities
- Process and release Import LC Issuance, Export LC Advising/Confirmation, and Document Checking for global clients.
- Ensure transactions comply with JPM policies and ICC rules such as UCP600, ISBP, and URR.
- Complete all team-assigned transactions with the highest quality according to agreed SLAs.
- Monitor transaction queues, assign tasks, and follow up on pending items.
- Identify and escalate any red flags, OFAC regulatory issues, AML concerns, or boycott language breaches.
- Conduct daily huddles and meetings to communicate process updates.
- Coordinate with global operations partners to manage work effectively.
- Plan and manage leave schedules and daily volume priorities.
- Drive the goals set by Trade & Working Capital Management.
- Create an inclusive environment for all employees.
- Share regular and constructive feedback with your team.
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills
• At least 3 years of experience in managing a team• Well versed with URC, UCP, URR & ISBP• Subject Matter Expertise in the LC Issuance/Advising/Confirmation & Document checking process• Queue Monitoring, Work Allocation and Prioritization• Willing to go above & beyond to ensure timely delivery• Understanding of US Regulations & OFAC Compliance• Excellent Oral, Written & Presentation skills• Project Management
Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills
• CDCS & CITF certifications will be an added preference
