The Position

The Co-Op will primarily support the global third-party risk team with risk assessments, data validation, platform enhancements and the overall process of on-boarding vendors and maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements. The Co-Op will also support the team in collaborating with business partners globally. As part of the broader Enterprise Risk Management group, the Co-op may be asked to help with projects (including business resilience or corporate insurance) that impact the broader risk framework for the firm and interact with internal and external partners globally 

 

 

Responsibilities  

 

  • Assist in responding to client/prospect inquiries concerning third party risk. 

  • Support the roll out of any new tools and/or processes, and assist in formally documenting processes, roles and responsibilities. 

  • Assisting in the on-boarding of new relationships, the on-going review of existing relationships and triaging risk related issues.  

  • Supporting the Third-Party Risk Management program (TPRM) and its relationships on a daily basis, including involvement in all areas of the vendor lifecycle (on-boarding, periodic monitoring of existing relationships, risk assessments, and termination) and maintenance of the firm’s vendor inventory and associated data.  

  • Working directly with the firm’s subject matter experts (SMEs) and Enterprise Sourcing, business groups and/or vendors to efficiently monitor and track assessments through each phase of the review process, ensuring assessments are appropriately completed and necessary documentation is on file, reviewing vendor risk assessment results and helping track and resolve identified issues. 

  • Performing other third party, business resilience and corporate insurance oversight tasks as necessary to support and enhance the programs. 

Qualifications

Working in this role requires a high degree of organizational and problem-solving skills as well as the ability to work independently.  The successful candidate must be self-motivated and detail-oriented, with an ability to prioritize ongoing and time sensitive goals.  Further, the  successful candidate for this role will possess a high degree of professionalism and have an eagerness to learn, an interest in various aspects of risk management and/or law and work well as part of a team. 

 

Strong academic credentials are requiredCandidates should be proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word and possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.  Data analytics and familiarity with using AI tools a plus. 

Only Northeastern University students are eligible for this program.

Our approach to compensation considers all aspects of total compensation; all employees are eligible to receive salary, variable compensation, and benefits. The base salary range for this position is:

$19-$35 per hour

This range takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered when making compensation decisions, including but not limited to skill sets; role; skills and experience; certifications; and education. This range is an estimate, and further details on salary and total compensation aspects will be shared with candidates during the recruitment process.   

 

Base salary is only one component of Wellington’s total compensation approach. Other rewards may include a discretionary Corporate Bonus and/ or Incentives, if eligible.
