The Role

We are looking for a Global Theatrical Marketing Manager to join our team–someone passionate about their craft and touts a track record of building film or entertainment campaigns. This role will be responsible for leading the global release of new and sustaining anime film releases across a diverse range of genres, leading and galvanizing the work with cross functional teams, and maintaining and building relationships with our creators / licensors. This person will report to the Director, Global Theatrical Marketing. 

A successful candidate in this role is responsible for managing theatrical marketing campaigns from ideation to execution including, but not limited to campaign positioning and strategy, tactical campaign execution, and creative asset management. This position is responsible for end to end launch, management, and tracking theatrical campaigns across traditional, digital, and emerging platforms.

The role is ideal for a candidate that will be self-motivated, quick-thinking, flexible, and detailed. They can pivot when necessary and have the ability to balance multiple responsibilities with a direct emphasis on film campaigns that drive awareness and global box office. This is a fast paced environment and role that requires someone who is a critical thinker, proactive, and able to balance a high volume of work with good judgment and initiative.

We Are Looking For Someone Who

  • Has a track record of working on high impact theatrical or entertainment campaigns
  • Is adept in managing 360 integrated campaigns (including AV/trailers, digital/social, print and out-of-home) at a global level.
  • Is well versed in the preparation, development and delivery of campaigns, including requesting creative assets, project management, and working cross functionally across external and internal partners. 
  • Is a strategic problem solver with a business mind: management of budgets and timelines, ensuring relevant stakeholders stay informed about any campaign updates, changes and release deliverables are met.
  • Is willing to adapt and cares deeply about cultural nuances that come with working with global partners (external and internal) to plan campaigns and oversee execution across digital platforms, TV, events, and OOH.
  • Has experience collaborating with multiple territories on campaign components and marketing plans, ensuring alignment to overarching global campaign strategy, from campaign pitch, trailer launch, campaign strategy share-outs, and main campaign asset development. 
  • Has experience working with recaps and ongoing campaign reporting.
  • Has experience managing multiple titles at the same time, and working with many different internal and external teams (brand, publicity, research, data, research, partnerships) to gain input on strategic direction and to inform planning and strategy.
  • Appreciates and explores movies/film, and competitive market trends to adjust plans as needed

What We Need From You

  • 5+ years of experience in similar roles in entertainment.
  • Self-motivated and a multi-tasker that is experienced working in a fast-paced team environment.
  • Strong project management skills and organization. 
  • Effective communication, presentation skills and positive team collaboration.
  • Experience working in film is highly preferred.

The Pay Range for this position is listed. Actual pay will vary based on factors including, but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Crunchyroll’s Total Rewards offerings for employees. Other rewards may include performance bonuses, employer matched retirement savings, time-off programs, and progressive health benefits and perks.
