As a Global Technical Services Director here at Solstice Advanced Materials, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining a global organization to manage all aspects of service related to the application of our refrigerant offerings. You will be responsible for managing technical service personnel in multiple end use verticals including commercial/industrial refrigeration, residential/light commercial air conditioning, chillers and data center applications.  

In this role, you will interact with and impact sales and marketing, drive solstice branding, and become the face of solstice refrigerants at the end user, contractor, OEM, and regulatory functions. Your strong technical knowledge and excellent presentation skills will clearly demonstrate Solstice Refrigerants technology leadership.

You will report directly to our Sr Director of Global Marketing, and you will work out of our Morris Plains or Buffalo NY location on a hybrid model.  


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage a global team of segment vertical technical experts 
  • Own all customer inquiries, SFDC, phone calls, and web forms
  • Drive sales by providing superior team performance and transitioning tech service touch points to actionable sales leads, map and capture this process 
  • Present technical and positional subjects to end users and trade groups, becoming the face of Solstice refrigerants 
  • Assist marketing team with the creation/editing of technical literature, to include testimonials, data sheets, white papers, web content and articles
  • Maintain a close working relationship with the R&D team to provide a field perspective in the application of refrigerants
  • Participate in new product development when required
  • Manage an ongoing internal and external training program focusing on the proper utilization of Solstice products. This program should highlight the breath of the solstice portfolio, environmental benefits, performance benefits and safety
Qualifications

YOU MUST HAVE

  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline
  • Minimum of 5 years of direct HVAC industry experience to include mechanical contracting, OEM engineering/applications, sales engineer, or consulting engineer 
  • Knowledge of heat transfer technology and theory with a strong understanding of refrigerant properties  
  • Ability to travel both domestically and internationally 
  • Ability to visit, tour and inspect mechanical installations in commercial and industrial settings

COMPENSATION

The annual base salary for this position is $215,172-$269,259. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. Solstice considers various factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's work experience, education and training, key skills, as well as market and business considerations.

This position is incentive eligible.
