What you'll do
- Manage tax compliance matters for parts of APAC and Europe, working with internal finance team and external advisors to ensure timely and accurate filings across all jurisdictions;
- Partner with business teams to advise on tax implications and support informed decision making
Coordinate tax controversy matters, working with finance teams and external advisors to manage the tax audit, submissions, and resolution processes; - Support the design and implementation of tax structures and intercompany agreements and ensure local transfer pricing obligations (e.g. documentation, filings) are met;
- Contribute to process optimization initiatives and adoption of tax technology solutions to drive efficiency and accuracy;
- Monitor changes and updates in global tax legislation to identify potential tax impacts and provide corresponding tax solutions to business teams in advance, ensuring ongoing tax compliance;
- Build strong relationships with non-tax stakeholders, including Commercial, Finance, Legal and Product teams to proactively share tax insights and information
What you’ll bring
- 8+ years of international tax experience, ideally with a mix of Big 4 / advisory and in-house roles
- Bachelor's degree in Accountancy or related field, with relevant professional accreditation (e.g. ATA by SCTP)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to translate technical tax positions into practical guidance for non-tax stakeholders
- Self-starter, comfortable operating with ambiguity in a fast-paced, start-up-like environment
- Strong analytical skills with keen attention to both detail and the bigger picture
- International tax experience in cross-border transactions; experience with indirect taxes (VAT/GST/SUT) in the digital economy is highly preferred.
- Experience in handling cross-border tax issues and transfer pricing across the region
- Familiarity with AI and its applications in tax processes is a plus (e.g., leveraging AI for compliance, data analysis, or process automation)
- Experience in Internet/Technology, E-commerce or Payments industry is preferred
