The Role
Job Title:Global Standards and EHS Compliance Specialist

Summary:Reporting to the Sr Manager, Global EHS & Security Systems, this role will be responsible for managing International Management Systems, Global EHS standards, and associated compliance audits.
This person will act as a technical expert, providing specific guidance on environmental health and safety compliance matters across the globe and will collaborate closely with multiple other functions throughout the organization.
Please note that this role requires on-site presence five days per week, Monday through Friday.

Responsibilities Include:
  • Lead EHS management systems certification process globally for EHS related multi-site International Management Systems (ISO 14001, ISO 45001, Responsible Care, and others as necessary),

  • Lead Global EHS audit program.  This includes performing audits, analysis of audit results, and creating visibility to and communications of these results.  Administration and review and continuous improvement of the audit program are also critical elements of responsibility.

  • Develop vision and strategy for both short-term and multiyear Information and Communications, including the EHS Management System Webinar Series, EHS Learning and Improvement Review, and other key EHS communications.

  • Lead critical multi-functional Information systems development, deployment, and continuous improvement (Gensuite, SharePoint, etc.)  Support implementation and maintenance of digital solutions.

  • Mange EHS Training content to ensure it is reliably available to the global organization and can be effectively tracked.  Develop and deliver training to a global audience.

  • Track and communicate EHS metrics

  • Completes other duties as assigned

Travel:

  • Around 10%

Qualifications:

The following are required for the role

  • BS Degree in relevant technical discipline. 

  • 10+ years of experience in chemical/industrial environment

  • EHS compliance and management systems experience

  • 5+ years of EHS auditing experience

  • Excellent communications skills with both internal and external personnel.   Ability to collaborate in a global organization.

  • Strong project management and leadership skills, including the ability to prioritize, balance and manage multiple tasks simultaneously, adjust to changing priorities and make decisions with speed and accuracy based on available information. 

  • Strong interpersonal skills, team player, capable of working within globally diverse, cross-functional, internal and external teams across different time zones with ability to effectively influence others to action.

  • Unquestioned ethics and integrity, ability to work on confidential matters.

  • Strong Computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint)

The following are preferred for this position:

  • MS Degree in relevant technical professional discipline

  • Lead EHS Auditor experience

  • Quality Systems auditing experience

  • Demonstrated leadership ability in a matrix organization

What We Offer:Base Pay Range: $103,500 - $151,800

The actual salary offered is determined by factors including but not limited to education, experience, skill sets, and geography. Additionally, this role is eligible for incentive or sales variable compensation payments. The amount of these incentives is based on the terms of the Company's incentive plans, the Company's financial performance, and/or individual employee job performance.
