About This Opportunity
Join a collaborative and purpose driven team dedicated to creating positive outcomes for students and partners across Australia and around the world. Internally known as Senior Officer, Student Scholarships and Prizes, this role plays a critical part in managing the delivery of services to sponsors and scholarship recipients, supporting strategic scholarship programs, and enhancing UQ’s reputation as a quality provider of international educational services. Working closely with internal and external stakeholders, you will contribute to an inclusive, supportive and high performing environment where innovation, service excellence and continuous improvement are valued.
Key responsibilities will include:
Managing relationships with sponsors, scholarship bodies and global partners, both domestic and international.
Supporting the administration and successful delivery of sponsored student and scholarship programs, including Australia Awards Scholarships.
Developing strong partnerships across the University to coordinate seamless student, financial and administrative services.
Identifying and implementing process improvement initiatives, reporting outcomes, and contributing to strategic scholarship and sponsorship planning.
About You
You are a highly organised and customer focused professional who enjoys building relationships, navigating complexity and delivering exceptional outcomes for students and stakeholders. You bring sound judgement, strong attention to detail and a commitment to continuous improvement in a collaborative environment.
Completion of a degree with subsequent relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Relevant experience working with international students, scholarships, student services, higher education administration, grants administration, government programs, or a similarly complex administrative environment.
Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective relationships with students, staff, sponsors, donors and external stakeholders from diverse cultural backgrounds.
Strong organisational and planning skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities, work under pressure and consistently meet deadlines.
Proven ability to interpret and apply policies, procedures, contractual obligations and compliance requirements with a high level of accuracy.
Excellent analytical, problem solving and communication skills, with experience preparing reports, proposals and planning documents that support operational and strategic objectives.
