The Global Sourcing Manager General Administration Services is responsible for the strategic sourcing of the following areas: Office Equipment, Office Furniture, Office Supplies, Pre-Print, Print, Reprotechnics, HSEQ Services, Surveys, Research and Catering.
He/she develops the relevant sourcing strategies and is responsible for negotiating and concluding related contracts, managing the supplier landscape and engaging with internal stakeholders. Furthermore, the jobholder ensures increased and sustainable sourcing effectiveness in line with the Procurement strategy and Covestro’s vision and values.
This position builds, develops and implements sourcing strategies and other initiatives in the area of General Administration Services.
Lead complex strategic sourcing events. Leads cross functional sourcing teams with a focus on cost transformation, sustainability, reliability, and innovation, balancing cross functional and stakeholder demand needs.
Ensure competitive procurement of goods and services by monitoring current industry trends and benchmarks and provide category intelligence to make better business decisions.
Collaborate with stakeholders and drive external suppliers to ensure maximum value for Covestro.
Responsible for objective assessment of supplier capabilities, selection and performance evaluation and driving key Supplier Relationship Management initiatives
Develops and leads supplier negotiations with a focus on total cost of ownership. Directs mid to senior levels management stakeholders on their role in these negotiations.
Performs financial and analytical analysis and presents business case recommendations to management/leadership
The minimum salary on this position is 2300 EUR. The salary can be higher depending on the skills and experience of the candidate.
What You Offer:BA or equivalent degree in a technical and / or business discipline and several years of Procurement or relevant professional experience.
Strong negotiation skills
Strong communication skills with ability to effectively understand diverse stakeholder requirements, and present concepts to management cross-functional teams is needed
Strong networking skills and enjoying networking e.g. with internal stakeholders and business partners / suppliers
Cross-Cultural Collaboration. Working effectively with diverse teams and suppliers across different geographies and cultures.
Fluent in English and German, and experienced in operating in multicultural and international settings.
