Major Accountabilities

• Actively contribute to professional and reliable technology delivery for business systems, Big Data platforms, and analytics processes for business domain/function(s) in scope.
• Accountable to plan, define, and develop high-level designs for solutions
• Working with Enterprise Architects to align solution architecture with enterprise architecture standards
• Actively contribute to on time, within budget, compliant, secure, and quality delivery of portfolio/ respective engagements.
• Effectively engage with the chosen SI Partner(s) and collaboratively strive to deliver business value.
• Contribute enterprise grade and state of the art Solution Design & Architecture with maximizing re-usability, configurability and scalability.
• Ensure top class and state of the art engineering delivery, code management, automation and strive for highest efficiency.
• Supporting Project Managers in developing solution roadmaps, incl. evaluating change & run decisions
• Ensure the overall user experience is taken into account when designing deploying new solutions and services.
• Ensure adherence to Security & Compliance policies and procedures as well as with other Sandoz guidelines and standards.
• Working with Supplier Management to evaluate options for solutions and services ensuring external requirements and features are incorporated into solution designs

Ideal Background (State the minimum and desirable education and experience level)

Education:

• Master of Science degree in information technology, software engineering, computer science or related field
• Certification in and/or experience with Agile/DevOps methodologies is a plus
• Certification or accreditation in enterprise architecture, The Open Group Architecture Foundation (TOGAF), or related certification is a plus

Languages:                      

• Fluent in written and spoken English

Skills:                                  

• Overall 10+year experience within IT, with at least 5 years of relevant experience in in a role as a Big Data platform solution engineer or architect
• AWS Networking, Security, DataBricks (Dela Lake), Virtual Machine & DB set-up. Wep/App services, storage account, load balancer, API gateway & other data integration
• Familiar with DevOps tools (e.g. Jenkins, BitBucket), AWS DevOps Board; implementation in Agile methodology
• Experienced in guiding and supporting use-case teams across wide geographies & in collaborating with business and technical stakeholders to align a strategic IT service portfolio with business needs.
• Experience with change management through process engineering and/or participating in large-scale IT change / transformation programs.
• Excellent written, oral communication and presentation skills to present features and solution recommendations to senior stakeholders.

Experiences:

• Ideally already worked on (AWS) platform solutioning for end-to-end design and migration of applications (having at least 5+ applications migrated on AWS)
• Experience in client facing role working with application teams and cloud operations from implementation until/including transition to operations.
• Proven experience (5+years) in engineering and software architecture design for big data solutions.
• Experience with hybrid cloud environments is a plus
• Experience in product delivery and architecture, including as an Architect of enterprise solutions
