Job Summary:
The Global Solution Owner is the technical responsible person for the MDM platform and its applications / use cases in Sustained Data & Analytics, The role ensures that trusted, compliant, and harmonized master data (customer, finance, supplier and Reference Data) enables regulatory compliance, patient safety, operational efficiency, and data-driven decision making across all regions. Acting as the primary bridge between Business Data Owners, Global Process Owners, and Technology, the Solution Owner drives standardization, governance, and innovation of MDM capabilities in alignment with GxP, GDPR, and industry regulations.
Your Key Responsibilities:
Your responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Define and own the global MDM product vision, strategy, and roadmap aligned with business priorities.
- Translate regulatory, commercial, and supply chain needs into scalable MDM solutions and enterprise data models.
- Act as single point of accountability for the global MDM platform (quality, compliance, security, and cost).
- Lead governance, including data standards, stewardship processes, and Design Authority.
- Ensure compliance with pharma regulations (GxP, SOX, GDPR, IDMP) and maintain data quality rules and KPIs.
- Oversee delivery and operations, including agile teams, integrations, releases, and continuous improvement.
- Partner with global stakeholders to prioritise demand and drive adoption across regions.
- Manage vendors, budgets, and total cost of ownership while ensuring delivery performance.
- Skilled communicator capable of engaging with both business stakeholders and technical teams.
- Attainment of agreed-upon KPIs, demonstrating tangible business impact
- Full cost control for MDM platform and its use cases
- Successful conclusion of vendor contracts with generated savings.
What you’ll bring to the role:
Essential Requirements:
- Strong expertise in data governance, data quality, and lifecycle management
- Proven ability to translate regulatory requirements into practical digital solutions
- Experience leading and influencing in matrix, cross-functional environments
- Solid understanding of enterprise architecture and integration patterns
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a focus on innovation and continuous improvement
- Strong knowledge of business data domains and their interaction with core systems (ERP, CRM, analytics, etc.)
- 8+ years’ experience in MDM/data governance, preferably within pharmaceutical or regulated environments, including exposure to key data domains, regulatory frameworks (GxP, GDPR, IDMP), and leading MDM platforms (e.g. TIBCO EBX, Informatica, SAP MDG, Reltio
Qualifications
- Master of Science degree in information technology, software engineering, computer science or related field; Additional Master of Business Administration is a plus
- 8+ years’ experience in MDM/data governance, preferably within pharmaceutical or regulated environments, including exposure to key data domains, regulatory frameworks (GxP, GDPR, IDMP), and leading MDM platforms (e.g. TIBCO EBX, Informatica, SAP MDG, Reltio.
