Job Purpose:
The Global Key Account Manager will be responsible for nurturing and growing relationships with our key Agri-commodity clients across the globe. This role is pivotal to our organisation's growth strategy, focusing on client retention, expansion, and delivering top-notch logistics solutions. The successful candidate will be an expert in the logistics and agri-commodities industry, have a deep understanding of client needs, and possess exceptional relationship-building skills.
Key Accountabilities:
- Deliver / exceed revenue and profitability targets set in budget
- Build vertical-led growth engine: Proactively manage key accounts using structured plans (Account plans, Bingo card, Spiderweb), secure invitations to all potential tender opportunities and participate in qualified opportunities across all capabilities in our toolbox
- Secure & convert opportunities
- Maximize wallet share and account profitability
- Improve tender visibility
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree preferred.
Highly desirable:
- Insider knowledge and/or prior interaction with companies in the Agri-commodities industry.
- Experience with freight and contract logistics for Agri-comodities: Inter Continental Exchange (ICE) storage (legal and insurance aspects), bulk and containerized landside and Ocean/Air/Inland/Road/Rail transport, Emergency Air Freight solutions
- Prior exposure to Trade Finance and Market Access solutions
- Interaction with solution designers and Property development teams, including the design of packing stations, bulk terminals, warehouses for Agri-commodities10+ years of experience in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field.
- Proven track record in global key account management, with demonstrated client retention and growth success.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
- Exceptional problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Proficiency in relevant software and tools (e.g., CRM systems, Excel, logistics software).
- Willingness to travel as needed to meet with clients and attend industry events.
- Experience with lean management principles and continuous improvement methodologies is preferred.
