Job Summary
The Global Senior Domain Solution Architect Integrations will define solution architectures for programs and projects leveraging approved enterprise integration patterns and platforms. Contribute to the development of architectural standards and provide direction for integration architecture across SAP and non‑SAP domains. Elaborate, document, and communicate solution architectures for medium‑ to large‑scale initiatives with multiple dependent systems.
Your Key Responsibilities
Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Develop and govern solution architectures for complex integration initiatives spanning SAP and non‑SAP systems.
- Define, maintain, and evolve solution architectures supporting enterprise integrations using established platforms and patterns (e.g., SAP Integration Suite, Boomi, Axway MFT, cloud solutions, APIs, event‑driven architectures).
- Utilize architecture patterns and best practices to recommend appropriate use of integration styles (API‑led, event‑based, batch, file transfer) aligned with business and technical needs.
- Elaborate and document solution architectures in alignment with enterprise architecture principles, security standards, data governance policies, and applicable regulatory requirements (GxP, data integrity, SOX).
- Engage internal delivery teams and external vendors to explain architectural decisions and ensure adherence to architecture governance throughout implementation.
- Collaborate closely with business units, SAP platform and delivery teams, Enterprise Architecture, security, and infrastructure teams to translate business requirements into scalable, robust integration solutions.
- Maintain and enhance integration domain standards, reference architectures, reusable patterns, and documentation using architecture repositories and tooling (LeanIX).
- Contribute to the definition and communication of the SAP & Integration domain roadmap, aligning requirements with long‑term platform strategy.
- Evaluate emerging integration technologies and vendor solutions for applicability within the enterprise landscape, considering scalability, reliability, security, and operational impact.
- Support improvements in reliability, performance, monitoring, and operational excellence of the enterprise integration landscape.
Minimum Requirements
What you’ll bring to the role:
- Proven experience in IT delivery and solution or domain architecture roles with strong focus on SAP and enterprise integrations, preferably within the pharmaceutical or life sciences industry
- Proven experience in delivering integration architecture based on enterprise integration platforms (e.g. SAP Integration Suite, SAP Process Orchestration, Boomi, MuleSoft …)
- Solid understanding of SAP on-prem and cloud architectures and integration options (IDoc, RFC, BAPI, OData, REST, events) and their interaction with non‑SAP platforms.
- Hands‑on experience designing and governing integrations across hybrid landscapes (on‑premise and cloud).
- Experience contributing to complex, multi‑system programs in global enterprise environments.
- Familiarity with enterprise and solution architecture frameworks and methodologies (e.g., TOGAF or equivalent).
- Demonstrated ability to influence without formal authority and collaborate effectively with business, IT, and vendor stakeholders.
- Experience working in global and cross‑cultural environments.
- Comfortable working in complex, evolving landscapes with a pragmatic and solution‑oriented mindset.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology Business Administration, or related business field; (Master’s degree is preferred)
