Global Segments Digital Marketing Specialist to lead strategic marketing efforts across key segments in ABB Electrification Smart Buildings (ELSB) and Smart Power (ELSP) portfolios with a strong emphasis on digital marketing techniques. Develop and execute segment-specific marketing plans, drive digital transformation initiatives, and translate technical innovations into customer-centric strategies while collaborating across divisions, sales teams, and business lines to achieve market share growth.


The preferred hiring locations are Cary, NC, USA; Bergamo, Italy; and Lüdenscheid, Germany. This position supports a remote work model.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and execution of the strategic marketing plan for the Food & Beverage segment and drive digital marketing execution across Rail and Buildings segments, with the goal of attaining market share growth in a competitive market.
  • Collaborate with Business Lines and Agile teams in Smart Buildings and Smart Power divisions as well as segment sales and segment marketing leaders to understand technical specifications and market needs, translating them into customer-centric marketing strategies.
  • Collaborate with Agile Units, Business Lines, Global Marketing, Sales Organization and Local Sales Units to guarantee a coordinated approach to customers. Ensure alignment on key marketing objectives and strategic initiatives.
  • Conduct in-depth market research and competitive analysis to identify growth opportunities and position solutions effectively in the market.
  • Foster relationships with internal stakeholders, customers, and industry partners to gather insights and continuously improve marketing approaches.
  • Use performance data to evaluate the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and optimize strategies based on campaign analytics and customer feedback.
  • Oversee the design and execution of Customer Experience (CX) strategies to ensure seamless and impactful interactions across all touchpoints, enhancing customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Implement digital marketing strategy, initiatives, and roadmap, including website development, Search Engine Optimization (SEO), and social and digital content.
  • Develop targeted SEO and SEM (Search Engine Marketing) activities and manage online channels to generate sales leads and optimize sales conversion.
  • Utilize data and marketing analytics to increase the performance of digital campaigns and enhance customer experience across platforms.
  • Manage assigned budget effectively and deliver activities within agreed schedules and costs.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years of experience in marketing, preferably in industrial/infrastructure B2B environments.
  • Knowledge of the electrification industry is preferred.
  • Proven track record of developing successful marketing strategies and campaigns, with strong digital marketing skills and Account-Based Marketing (ABM) experience.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to leverage data for decision-making.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams and divisions.
  • Exceptional leadership and communication skills.
  • Proficiency with marketing tools including SFDC, Pardot, DemandBase, or similar marketing automation platforms.
