The role will provide security design, project management and technical system support expertise to support a variety of electronic security system construction projects and sites across the company.  The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of security system infrastructure and applications and be responsible for following standards and guidelines, coordinating with internal stakeholders, and managing work independently.
The role will report into the Global Director of Physical Security Technology and Design.


Key Responsibilities:

Strategy & Planning

  • Prepares early cost estimates and working with the stakeholders to deliver projects within budget.
  • Updates monthly and quarterly finance forecasts based on project completion progress.
  • Reports weekly project status to overall project dashboard.
  • Report to team various activities, problems and solutions achieved.
  • Develop quarterly goals (OKRs) and work to achieve them.
  • Collaborates with other design leads, project managers, system admins, and internal stakeholders to prioritize and load balance projects.
  • Aides in development of and maintains written standards that document global security requirements for the assigned projects.
  • Supports global projects and interfaces with employees, contractors and other stakeholders in APAC, US, and China markets.

Security Design

  • Conducts location specific technical security audits and assessments to validate current state security equipment and security equipment designs to establish compliance with company security policies and standards.
  • Coordinates with various departments, business units and stakeholders to plan, design and coordinate security system installation according to the company standards.
  • Prepares security designs and technical specifications (scopes of work) for vendors.
  • Coordinates with CAD design team to ensure drawings are accurate and reflect the correct scope of work as well as updating if design changes occur.
  • Maintains central file and folder organization and accurate design documentation for bids, design changes, system programming and records management.
  • Designs technical security for sites including Access Control, Intrusion Detection, CCTV, Key Management, Intercoms, Speed Gates, Fire Safety interfaces and ensures compliance with the company standards.
  • Reviews and approves closeout documentation from vendors, including as-built drawings, product specifications, and project archive.

Procurement Support

  • Coordinates with Procurement for submitting scopes of work and reviewing bids (Bill-of-Materials (BOM) from vendors.
  • Reviews contractor’s quotations and reports deficiencies in the system requirements and documentation to the appropriate parties affected.
  • Works with financial tools to submit costs, orders, and other details for internal approvals.
  • Tracks internal approvals and monitors for delays and remove barriers in the approval process.

Project Implementation Support

  • Project coordination and project management support provided to ensure successful delivery of completed security system in line with project schedule.
  • Respond to Request for Information (RFIs) by answering technical questions requested from vendors.
  • Supports construction and design changes, problem solving and works with urgency to meet fast paced deadlines.
  • Surveys onsite technical security installations by vendors to ensure compliance with contractual obligations and quality standards.
  • Monitors and evaluates subcontractor performance to ensure successful completion of the project.  
  • Facilitate “as-built” drawings by vendor.
  • Provide testing and commissioning onsite to validate the installation is in alignment with company standards and vendor contract requirements.
  • Develops and maintains vendor project management guidelines for vendors and self to ensure project milestones are achieved.

Enterprise Security System Administration

  • Supports requests by the system administrator (SA) of the enterprise security system (ESS) to ensure stable and reliable operation of the access control, intrusion detection, video surveillance and associated security technology.
  • Works closely with internal technical teams (networking, systems admin, IT, etc.) to align dependencies on IT systems.
  • Maintain an in-depth knowledge of current and state-of-the-art security equipment standards and technology.
  • Assisting in support requests relating to the security system.
  • Perform as required and/or support vendors with detailed device programming and configuration changes on the security system.
  • Provide support for internal customers, other system engineers and administrators, installation team, and the maintenance team.
  • Developing and completing preventive maintenance checklists.
  • Provide and support vendor related training support for software users.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years working experience in the following: Access Control, Intrusion Detection, Networked security video, Key Management, Intercoms, Global Security System Software, Emergency Notification Systems, Visitor Management systems, and security operational understanding.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related technical field, and/or equivalent technical certificates and working experience combination.
  • Experience with physical security applications in corporate offices, campuses, e-commerce, logistics, warehouses, datacenters, and satellite offices spread over a global footprint.
  • Understanding of the methodology of enterprise security risk management as it pertains to technical security.
  • Experience with Global security systems software and hardware solutions such as Genetec Security Center, Lenel/S2 On Guard, HID and Mercury Hardware, various access control hardware and locking solutions, Video management, various Onvif compatible IP cameras, IP based intercoms, Key management systems, etc.
  • General knowledge of Global Security Operations Center (GSOC) components.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of international building codes, designs, and regulations pertinent to physical security standards.
  • Knowledge of technical security program design, systems, and emerging technology trends for security industry good practices is necessary.
  • Knowledge of Life Safety Code and its application within both new and existing facilities.
  • Able to interpret building plans, network, and electrical designs.
  • Have a strong understanding of Information Technology Systems IT infrastructure, communication protocols, network architecture and on-prem and cloud applications management.
  • Ability to communicate with all levels of staff and management.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Up to 30% travel possible.
