  • Ensure thought leadership is developed with earned media, executive visibility, and influence in mind from the outset; monitor and evaluate the impact of these initiatives.

PR Strategy & Earned Media Activation

  • Translate thought leadership priorities and narratives into clear global PR strategies, themes, and story angles.

  • Guide proactive media engagement, executive commentary, and speaking opportunities that reinforce Interface’s leadership position.

  • Partner with regional marketing, PR, and agencies to ensure consistent positioning, messaging discipline, and strong results across markets.

  • Serve as a strategic advisor on reputation management, emerging issues, and reactive media opportunities.

Content Strategy & Execution

  • Oversee content development, including executive POVs, bylines, narrative briefs, media backgrounders, and flagship thought leadership assets.

  • Manage a global content and PR calendar that supports priority moments, campaigns, and visibility opportunities.

  • Ensure content is designed to travel across earned and owned media, executive platforms, digital channels, and industry forums.

Executive Visibility & Spokesperson Support

  • Identify and drive executive visibility opportunities aligned with Interface’s narratives and thought leadership.

  • Prepare and support spokespeople with messaging, narrative guidance, and media training.

  • Act as a trusted counselor to senior leaders on how to show up externally with credibility and consistency.

Trend Monitoring & Proactive Storytelling

  • Monitor trends to identify where Interface can credibly enter the conversation.

  • Partner with PR colleagues and agencies to activate thought leadership through timely commentary, newsjacking, and rapid response opportunities.

Collaboration & Leadership

  • Collaborate closely with regional teams and external agencies to balance global consistency with local relevance.

  • Build strong relationships with Marketing and Communications teammates across regions to amplify priority stories and initiatives.

  • Manage and develop team members and contributors as applicable.

  • Contribute to broader global communications and internal communications initiatives as needed.

Skills & Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or related field.

  • Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience.

  • Strong experience in public relations, earned and owned media, and executive communications, with a proven content and storytelling background.

  • Demonstrated ability to translate complex topics into compelling narratives that drive visibility and influence.

  • Experience managing direct reports, agencies, and cross‑functional stakeholders across regions.

  • Highly organized, strategic thinker with strong judgment and comfort operating in a fast‑paced, high‑visibility environment.

  • Resourceful, flexible, and entrepreneurial spirit; ability to manage multiple high-visibility projects at once.

  • Willingness to adopt new technologies, including Generative AI, and an understanding of how Gen AI can be leveraged in communications and PR.
