Title: Global Project Manager - Ocean Contract Management

Location: Copenhagen, Denmark

We are looking for our next Global Project Manager - Ocean Contract Management to join our Ocean Procurement Global Contract Management team, reporting to the Global Head of Ocean Contract Management. You will be in a dynamic, exciting, and transforming environment, with the ability to contribute to Maersk’s customer journey.

The role as Global Project Manager - Ocean Contract Management offers a fantastic opportunity to be part of a global transformation team. You will play a crucial role in driving Procurement Process Excellence, Practices Standardization, and digital transformation. Working with a global team, you will deliver best-in-class solutions across regions, emphasizing effective communication, change management, continuous improvement, and supporting our Ocean Procurement strategy.

You will navigate a diverse internal and external stakeholder landscape, where you will have the opportunity to be part of the wider Global-Regional-Local Community, where strategic coordination and business revolution take place.

You will have the opportunity to interact and work closely with teams in the Global Ocean Procurement function, Global Process Lead (GPL) organization as well as the Procurement Platform organization, Regional Procurement teams and Regional Contract Management teams in a highly dynamic, geo-politically sensitive and complex function.

The position is based in Copenhagen, Denmark.

Key Responsibilities

Transformation Leadership: Enable Ocean Procurement Excellence transformation agenda across regions. Suppliers Experience Excellence: Ensure consistency in priorities and approach towards suppliers as they need to onboard to new digital solutions and processes. Effective Communication: Drive global and regional transformation program by providing effective communication to the different internal and external stakeholders. Operational Excellence: Deploy procurement process and performance standards to drive operational excellence and best practices in strategic categories. Change Management: Lead the change management journey in collaboration with regional procurement management teams. Governance: Enable adherence to process standards governance models and guidelines across regions. Performance Management: Establish a performance management system to deliver transformation targets. Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong engagement models between global and regional complexities to achieve standardization objectives. Business Value: Liaise with regional Procurement and Finance teams to validate the business value of the standardization agenda and manage exceptions. Digitalization: Provide input to Platforms Procurement experts for automation and digitalization requirements to prioritize. Process Excellence: Drive a process excellence mindset to support long-term standardization and transformation agendas. Best Practices: Share and incorporate best practices across regions and procurement teams.

Who we are looking for:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in business management or engineering.
  • Experience: Proven experience in leading transformation and change management projects at global and regional scale.
  • Skills: Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, customer-centric mindset, and continuous improvement mentality.
  • Digital Focus: Strong drive for digital transformation and process automation.
  • Values: Ambassador of company values and collaborative teamwork behaviors.
  • Influence: Ability to influence without authority and constructively challenge the status quo.
  • Agility: High learning agility and ability to deal with ambiguity.
  • Self-Motivation: Ability to drive self-motivation and engagement within a remote team.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
