Job Description

The Project manager Biochar will be responsible to produce a define how Brambles will play in the Biochar Field. Focussing on defining the structure, organization and producing a business case that will define the road map of Biochar production and commercialization across the Brambles’ geography.

Major/ Key Accountabilities:

  • Develop a comprehensive business case for biochar production and commercialization.
  • Conduct market research and financial analysis to support the business case.
  • Manage the project timeline, budget, and resources.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure project alignment with business goals.
  • Lead the project team through the development phase and ensure a smooth transition to business as usual.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks.
  • Present the business case and project updates to senior management and potential investors.
  • Possible transition into the Biochar business lead role once the project is operational.

Challenges/ Problem Solving:

To create a business process from scratch.

To manage the internal and external stakeholders expectations.

To set the business model that will mark Brambles’ approach to Biochar .

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Chemical Engineering, Agricultural Science, Business Administration, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Previous experience with Biochar production or commercialization will be highly appreciated.
  • PMP certification or equivalent.
  • 5-7 years of project management experience, preferably in renewable energy or environmental sectors.
  • Proven experience in business case development and commercialization. Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills.

Experience:

  • Project management in an Agile environment
  • Any previous experience in the value Chain of Biochar would be highly appreciated
  • Carbon Credits Standards and Carbon markets.
