Role description:
To work side-by-side with COO Office Management Team to drive forward the COO Office Strategy.
The COO Office drives operational excellence and business transformation across Arcadis by standardizing and improving processes, maintaining quality standards and certifications, leading major change programs, and integrating acquired companies into the Arcadis way of working.
The PMO role will mainly support programs within the COO Office but will mainly focus on supporting the Global Quality functions and the Standardization and Automation program.
In this role the Global Program Manager interacts a wide number of senior Arcadis leaders and is expected to be comfortable dealing with senior leadership, ambiguity, high pace and changing environments. The Global Program Manager will manage stakeholders, understand their needs and is able to influence outcomes.
Role accountabilities:
Leading and supporting on delivery of strategic initiatives linked to Global Strategy.
Developing structure and plans around key areas of focus and areas of ambiguity, to define and deliver an end outcome
Working with stakeholders and Senior Leaders to define and align initiatives and objectives, influence outcomes, drive action and communicate plans.
Develop and run the Program Management Office, engage with project owners on progress and objectives, maintain schedules and benefit trackers, create dashboards and reports. Prepare and lead team and network meetings with stakeholders. Follow up on deliverables and actions.
Qualifications & Experience:
You are a multitasker with excellent verbal and written communication skills, comfortable with ambiguity, fast paced environments and the complex nature of working at leadership level. You are resilient and good at working collaboratively with all styles of leaders.
In addition, you have the following requirements and competencies:
2-3 years of experience in Program Management, PMO, Project Coordination, Business Transformation, Operational Excellence, or related roles.
Experience supporting cross-functional projects and contributing to transformation or process improvement initiatives.
Ability to build effective working relationships with stakeholders across different teams and functions.
Comfortable working in a dynamic environment and adapting to changing business priorities.
Exposure to project governance, reporting, tracking, and performance management processes.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and identify improvement opportunities.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with project management tools such as SmartSheet, Microsoft Project, or similar platforms is an advantage.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Eagerness to learn, develop project management skills, and contribute to business improvement initiatives.
