Product Line Manager – Advisory Services
Candidate must be located in Asia-Pacific region
The ABB Electrification Service division has extended its portfolio with a new Advisory Services Product Line. The overall objective is to advise customers on making their operations safer, more reliable, and sustainable. As Global Product Manager you will contribute to the overall advisory services business strategy and you will plan, monitor, and develop a global portfolio for the advisory service offering.
In this role, you will be developing and supporting the successful implementation of the advisory services strategy in Asia aligned with global priorities to profitably achieve qualitative and quantitative targets. To meet customer demands for advisory services in Asia, you will localize the global advisory services offering and plan, monitor, and develop a local offering portfolio and ensure successful project execution. In the course of this, you will drive excellence in the advisory service teams by promoting continuous development of people and processes, and by championing ABB core values and principles.
This role will be based in Asia-Pacific region.

Key responsibilities
In particular, you will be accountable for the following:
Offering portfolio
Contribute to development of the new advisory services portfolio by leading customer need and value analysis, planning, following up of portfolio performance for Asia, and ensuring the coordination with the global advisory services organization
Lead continuous business analysis of the existing portfolio and potential new portfolio items including analysis of alternative investments and reviewing potential partnering options.
Direct creation of the local offering business plan, ensuring fit with global strategy. Define the business model and approve the pricing model.
Analyze and track market, technology, competitors, and trends related to the offering including relevant regulations, and determine competitive attributes and value proposition towards customers
Commercial & operational
Support creation, planning, and implementation of advisory service sales strategy and strategic business development initiatives
Coordinate advisory service sales activities and operational project execution with country organizations and support local sales teams in achieving order intake, margin, and related objectives for advisory services
Establish long term customer relationships with key customers and decision makers on C-suite level by understanding the requirements, regulations and exhibiting high expertise in technical solutions and products
Qualifications
We are looking for an experienced candidate that combines very good organizational and product management skills with an entrepreneurial and creative mindset:
10+ years of experience in global functions including product management, sales, account management and/or marketing
Experience understanding Asia markets and customer base
Experience in service operations and field service activities would be an asset in this role
Thorough understanding of the energy and power distribution customer needs and segments as well as electrical products, applications, and processes.
Ability to identify customer service needs and to match those with ABB service offerings and find innovative solutions to meet customer requirements.
Experience in M&A, partnership management and delivery of complex customer projects is a strong asset
Global mind-set, intercultural sensitivity, and excellent communication skills.
Fluency in English is essential (written and spoken)
