The Role

The Global Product Manager in YouGov Shopper’s Advanced Solutions Team (AST), is responsible for the commercial development and growth of our high-value product portfolio. This position involves defining product strategy, managing the complete product lifecycle, and ensuring our solutions remain commercially relevant in a competitive market. A specific objective for this role is to enhance our retail-dedicated portfolio. While much of our current toolset is manufacturer-centric, you will lead the effort to adapt the concepts and develop new ones to better serve the needs of national and multinational retailers. This vacancy reports to our Global Strategic Portfolio Director based in Belgium and works closely with a variety of commercial and solution colleagues based across Europe.

Responsibilities:

Strategic Planning
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to define a product vision that aligns with broader business objectives.

  • Map market opportunities to guide roadmap decisions and prioritize new initiatives.

  • Identify gaps in our current service to retailers to ensure our portfolio is scalable and adaptable for retail clients.

Product Lifecycle & Development
  • Manage the end-to-end lifecycle, from initial ideation and concept development to launch and post-launch optimization.

  • Translate market insights into clear product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.

  • Partner with engineering and data analytics teams to execute development initiatives while maintaining commercial focus.

Commercial Enablement
  • Work with sales and marketing to refine value propositions and differentiate our offerings in the market.

  • Support sales campaigns by identifying target segments and tailoring messaging to address specific customer pain points.

  • Provide the technical and strategic input necessary to increase pipeline conversion within the retail sector.

Stakeholder Management

  • Engage with clients and internal teams to gather feedback and prioritize future enhancements.

  • Coordinate with sales teams to develop effective go-to-market strategies and product positioning.

Experience:

  • Experience of Retail research solutions development and commercialisation ideally with direct experience of ‘Advanced’ solutions such as; Shopper Segmentation, Shopper Touchpoints, Category Purchase Drivers and Hybrid Mix Modeling or similar.

  • 5+ years in commercial research roles with a research consultancy or within the research division of  a national/multinational FMCG retailer.

  • A strong understanding of the current advanced research portfolio and the ability to articulate its value to varied audiences.

  • Proven ability to manage complex projects and collaborate across cross-functional teams.

  •  A strategic, results-oriented mindset with the ability to translate market data into actionable product solutions.

This position is a hybrid working model (minimum x2 days per week in the office) and can be located in any of YouGov Shopper's main offices e.g Nuremberg, Hamburg, Frankfurt, Breda, Leuven, Warsaw or Vienna.
