BorgWarner Aftermarket Europe has a new opportunity for a dynamic, results drivenGlobal Product Line Manager IAM - Engine Chains (m/f/d)Reporting to the Head of Global Product Management the Global Product Line Manager (m/f/d) is responsible for managing the overall strategy for the product range to ensure revenue and margin objectives are met. We are in particular looking for experts in Engine Chains.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/ REQUIREMENTS
- Direct and oversee the product offer: manage the entire product life cycle (product range, new applications, deletions & supersessions, packaging, cataloguing, etc.
- Be the product expert able to support the sales as required with customer visits to support the generation of new business opportunities to directly impact revenue and growth.
- Produce Business cases for range extensions, sales quotes, new product launches.
- Interface with data management, packaging engineering, purchasing, logistics to identify source and achieve New Product Introduction.
- Coordinate the cross functional team ensuring processes are followed efficiently, deliverables are aligned, and the team is focused on the same Business Plan objectives, in line with the global product strategy
- Review global competitive position with local Sales & Marketing teams.
- Develop pricing strategies with the pricing manager and sales representatives
- Work with the Aftersales Marketing team to ensure correct product positioning and communication at launch and throughout product lifecycle
- Support the country organizations sales efforts, train local sales and marketing personnel on product features and benefits.
- Provide product specific literature, launch materials for range extensions, make product presentations, etc.
REQUIRED JOB QUALIFICATIONS
- Master´s degree, MBA, or Engineering Degree; Project Management Certification is advantageous
- Good knowledge of economics
- Deep Emission Products knowledge.
- Capable to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Several years of extensive experience in the aftermarket area for the automotive supplier industry.
- Excellent presentation skills with an analytical, assertive mindset
- Ability to prioritize and organize tasks, with a strong drive for results
- Flexibility to work in a matrix organization and develop strong internal networks.
- Excellent command of written and spoken English
