    You will lead the integration of next generation Silicon Carbide based Power electronic products and technologies being introduced into our state of the art production facilities.  This role will be responsible for new product life cycle from initial setup to product optimization and lastly yield improvements. You will work with R&D, Process Engineering, and Operations teams to ensure new products and technologies are optimized and characterized for both product performance and manufacturability.  This role will also need to perform process windowing using DOE, validate specs, assess new product Cpk, and compile a process manual for each new technology that is introduced into Production.  As the Wolfspeed business grows, this position will also be responsible for transfer of products and fab processes to new Fab facilities. 

    The Day-to-Day

  • Responsible for new product and new technology introduction – build plans working across the integration and process teams to achieve first pass qualification success
  • Lead integration of cross functional teams across multiple business units including Materials, Epi, Fab, and TDI for each new technology introduction
  • Participate in NPI/NTI business reviews.  In the early technology phases, highlight areas of concern from a Fab manufacturability standpoint.  In the later phases, summarize performance against design specs to ensure each new process/technology is ready for high volume manufacturing
  • Engage with the Process Engineering teams early to set them up for success by ensuring process knowledge is shared and process interactions are defined and documented
  • Develop solutions to problems utilizing statistical knowledge and structured problem-solving tools
  • This Job is Right for You if You Have (Minimum Requirements):

  • BS in Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or Equivalent, MS or PhD is a plus
  • 5+ years’ experience Fab Process/Development Engineering with focus on new process development/characterization, background in power semiconductors preferred
  • Understanding of semiconductor processes including Thin Films Deposition, Lithography, Wet/Dry Etch, Diffusion, Plating, and backside wafer processing
  • Experience in design of experiments, statistical analysis, and process control, including a passion for data analysis
  • Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal skills.
  • Able to adjust to changing priorities, schedules, business needs.
  • This role may require additional duties and/or assignments as designated by management.

Skills Required

  • BS in Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or equivalent
