Role Summary
The Global Process Owner (GPO) for Workforce Optimization is responsible for the end‑to‑end design, governance, and execution of State Street’s global workforce reduction process. This role partners closely with Global HR COEs, Employee Relations, Legal, Finance, Technology, and business leaders to ensure compliant, efficient, and consistent workforce optimization outcomes across regions.
Key Responsibilities
Own and govern the global workforce optimization process, ensuring standardization and compliance while addressing local regulatory requirements.
Define clear process frameworks, roles, governance models, and decision rights across stakeholders.
Drive continuous process improvement through data analysis, benchmarking, and performance metrics (SLAs/KPIs).
Partner with HR Technology teams to enable automation, tools, and reporting capabilities.
Serve as a strategic advisor to senior leaders on workforce reduction planning and execution.
Act as the primary HR partner to Finance on severance-related accounting and reporting.
Lead, coach, and develop a global workforce optimization team; manage service delivery and performance outcomes.
Qualifications & Experience
At least 12 years of progressive HR experience, with deep expertise in HR COEs, workforce optimization/reductions, process governance, and compliance.
Strong knowledge of global employment laws and workforce transition strategies.
Proven experience leading global process design, transformation, and operationalization.
Experience in financial services or a highly regulated environment preferred.
Strong analytical capability with experience using metrics to drive decisions.

Salary Range:
$110,000 - $188,750 AnnualThe range quoted above applies to the role in the location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the location above, the applicable range could differ.
