Computershare have an exciting opportunity for a Global Privacy Framework Manager to join our Global Privacy team.
The Global Privacy team are responsible for the design, development, assessment and implementation of global privacy framework elements, management of privacy projects and engagement with Computershare Technology Services (CTS) and first line business areas, to provide data privacy support.

A role you will love
The Privacy Framework Manager supports the Global Privacy Officer by developing Computershare’s global Privacy Framework, assessing the design and operating effectiveness of controls and monitoring for changes in global legislation that may require updates to our framework.
You will engage with first line projects where these have a significant privacy impact and where active and regular engagement from the privacy team is required to enable and evidence a privacy-by-design approach to change. The role is expected to have significant engagement with CTS to provide privacy support in the design, implementation and ongoing management of compliance functionality within technology products and initiatives.
The Privacy Framework Manager will be required to work closely with first line senior management and external stakeholders including supervisory authorities, regulators and industry forums where they will represent Computershare. Being the primary point of contact for internal and external audit questions and reviews where information or guidance is required from the Privacy Team.
Assessment of first line projects to determine where these have a significant privacy impact and where active and regular engagement from the privacy team is required to enable and evidence a privacy-by-design approach to change. The role holder will be required to either engage personally on these projects or ensure appropriate engagement by other members of the privacy team, providing summary reporting of projects to the Global Privacy Officer.
Some key responsibilities:
- Assessing the design of Computershare’s global privacy framework, developing changes required to the framework and providing materials to all regions that support the implementation and embedding of framework elements.
- Review and update of mandatory privacy training as well as the production of privacy awareness materials for the business.
- Provision of management information including input into committee reporting (up to and including Board Risk and Audit Committee).
- Being the primary point of contact for internal and external audit questions and reviews where information or guidance is required from the Privacy Team.
- Creating effective relationships with Senior Management and business unit heads to facilitate the delivery of objectives as determined by the Global Privacy Officer.
- Engagement with supervisory authorities or regulators where required.
- Representing Computershare within industry forums and events including providing presentations.
What will you bring to the role?
You will have extensive knowledge of privacy framework elements including registers of processing, personal data breach reporting, privacy impact assessments, contract clauses (including EU Standard Contractual Clauses), transfers to third countries and data subject rights. Along with thorough understanding of privacy regulation relevant to Computershare businesses and entities.
It is essential that the position holder has previous experience as a Privacy professional responsible for developing and/or embedding privacy frameworks within a business that is subject to European privacy legislation.
Other key skills required for the role include:
- Knowledge of project management methodologies.
- Previous experience of liaising with European Supervisory Authorities.
- An analytical mindset combined with good attention to detail are key for an individual to be successful in the role.
- The role requires analysis, assessment and decision making with respect to complex areas of regulation and law where privacy regulations, supervisory authority guidance and client requirements often overlap and can conflict.
- A background in instructing, documenting and disseminating complex and specialist advice and information relating to privacy.
- Well-developed inter-personal and communication skills that facilitate open working relationships with colleagues at all levels in the business.
- Privacy accreditation (e.g. International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP) accreditation such as CIPP/E) - preferred.
