The Global Principal AI Assurance Expert is responsible for the technical development, incubation and global enablement of AI Assurance services, including training, readiness reviews, gap analyses and technical assessments. The role has a strong focus on AI standards, regulations and conformity assessment methodologies, with particular emphasis on the European regulatory landscape. Working closely with SGS affiliates, the successful candidate will develop scalable services and support their global deployment. The ideal candidate combines deep expertise in AI technologies, standards and regulations with a pragmatic, market-oriented mindset.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the technical development and incubation of new AI Assurance services based on international standards and regulations.
• Develop technical assessment methodologies, procedures and guidance supporting AI regulatory conformity assessment.
• Evaluate, qualify and integrate internal and third-party AI testing and assessment tools.
• Collaborate with global AI Assurance teams to deploy new services worldwide.
• Provide technical leadership and subject matter expertise to SGS affiliates on AI Assurance services and complex customer engagements.
• Support Marketing and Sales through technical customer presentations, proposals and content generation
• Monitor development in AI standards and regulations, with particular focus on Europe.
• Participate in AI standardization working groups, industrial alliances and technical forums in the area of Trustworthy AI.

Key Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Artificial Intelligence or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in AI, Machine Learning, AI Governance, AI Testing, Cybersecurity and/or Data Governance.
• Proven experience leading the development and commercialization of AI or Digital Trust services in the TIC industry.
• Hands-on experience delivering consulting, audits, assessments, or compliance projects in the area of AI and Digital Trust
• Experience with EU Notified Body designation process
• Strong technical knowledge of Generative AI, AI risk management, AI testing and data quality
• Good knowledge of AI standards and frameworks (e.g. ISO/IEC 42001, ISO/IEC 23894, ISO/IEC 5259, NIST AI RMF, OWASP AI).
• Excellent understanding of European AI regulatory landscape, as well as ISO/IEC JTC1/SC 42 and CEN/CENELEC.
• Strong communication skills, with experience supporting business development and global sales teams.
• Fluent in English (Business Level)
• Nice to have: 
  • Active participation in AI standardization bodies or industry associations
  • Experience on Information Security, Cybersecurity Testing and Data Privacy
  • Knowledge of ISO/IEC 17065 and/or ISO/IEC 17021
  • Experience as an ISO auditor (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO/IEC 27001, ISO/IEC 42001)
