Job DescriptionIn the context of “giving users easy access to anything in their city”, Q-commerce (Quick Commerce) is the business unit that aims to provide immediacy to all product needs that a user might have, from delivering a video game to sending a gift... to filling up their fridge. We do that through 3 verticals: Groceries with Partners, Groceries with our own Micro Fulfillment Centers (MFCs), and Retail Shops.
The Q-commerce team is organized into 3 verticals: Groceries through Partners, Retail, and Groceries through Micro Fulfillment Centers - MFCs, our very own supermarkets.
As part of the HQ Category Management team, you will be responsible for creating, testing, and implementing new pricing and promotional strategies for our MFCs. This is a position in the team that comes with a complex equation to solve: to use data to define the MFC ideal product pricing strategy, balancing attractiveness and profitability in a channel in which the rules of the pricing game are not defined yet.
You will help to create the process needed to evolve from a basic margin-driven approach to a dynamic pricing strategy. This includes managing the relationship with web-scraping solutions, building tools for local teams, and using data to evaluate the current pricing and promotions strategy to continuously improve it. You will also be in contact with the central team members of Delivery Hero to adopt their business solutions adapting them to Glovo’s needs if necessary.
You will:
Being responsible for the overall product pricing and promotions playbook, working closely together with the Data Analytics, Growth, and Local teams.
Structure and shape pricing initiatives, both strategic and operational. Develop project plans, gather and synthesize relevant data, lead analyses, and develop final recommendations.
Design experiments - including A/B testing when applicable - and interpret the results together with the Data team to draw detailed and actionable conclusions.
Drive clarity and solve ambiguous, challenging business problems using data-driven approaches.
Lead change management and migration to Delivery Hero business solutions.
Interact and manage stakeholders from Delivery Hero and Glovo Global and Local Teams. (Finance, Category Managers, User Experience, Marketing and Growth)
Actively collaborate with your colleagues and learn from each other in a supportive environment that allows you to grow, develop, and make a difference.
