Summary

The Global Product Manager is responsible for driving the global marketing strategy, positioning, and lifecycle execution of a key crop protection product or platform. This role ensures consistent global messaging, supports regional adoption, and delivers competitive, market-backed plans that maximize product value. The Global Product Manager partners closely with the Global Asset Leader, regional marketing teams, technical experts, and R&D to ensure the portfolio meets customer needs and achieves commercial targets across all markets.

Main Responsibilities

  • Translate global asset strategy into product-level plans with clear positioning, messaging, and value propositions, supported by consistent global brand guidelines and customer narratives

  • Conduct segmentation to prioritize markets, crops, and customer types, and optimize positioning, pricing, and SKU strategy across regions

  • Manage the full product lifecycle (launches, label expansions, upgrades, transitions) and support scenario planning and long‑term roadmap decisions

  • Analyze market trends, grower behavior, competition, and regulatory changes; build market intelligence to guide strategy and identify risks/opportunities with mitigation plans

  • Collaborate cross-functionally (regional marketing, R&D, regulatory, supply chain, technical) to align priorities and ensure global strategies translate into effective local execution

  • Develop and lead global go-to-market plans, including launch toolkits, messaging platforms, campaigns, and digital assets for regional deployment

  • Create customer-facing materials (technical content, value tools, product stories, presentations) aligned with sustainability, stewardship, and integrated solutions

  • Support forecasting with demand assumptions, pricing guidance, and adoption expectations

  • Track performance (volume, pricing, market share) and own product P&L; monitor KPIs on brand equity, adoption, and customer feedback, delivering actionable insights

  • Support governance and strategy by contributing to portfolio reviews, investment proposals, executive presentations, and representing the product in global forums

Mandatory Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Agronomy, Biology, Marketing, or related field required; MBA or advanced degree preferred

  • 5–10+ years of experience in crop protection, seeds, biologicals, or broader agribusiness

  • Background in marketing, product management, commercial excellence, technical support, or portfolio strategy

  • Global or multi-regional experience strongly preferred

  • Strong marketing and commercial acumen, balancing strategic planning with operational execution

  • Ability to translate technical product features into clear, market-relevant value propositions

  • Solid analytical capabilities, including market assessment and financial understanding

  • Experience in cross-functional project execution and managing complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives

Skills Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Agronomy, Biology, Marketing, or related field required
  • MBA or advanced degree preferred
  • 5-10+ years of experience in crop protection, seeds, biologicals, or broader agribusiness
  • Background in marketing, product management, commercial excellence, technical support, or portfolio strategy
