As a Global Planning Manager, you will oversee key supply chain planning activities and drive operational excellence across regional and global functions. Reporting directly to the Head of Global Planning, you will be responsible for leading Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP), optimizing inventory management, and enhancing forecast accuracy. A key aspect of the role is the stock management and allocation process, inventory strategy, and cross-functional coordination with Country Managers, Business Unit Heads and Alliance Management team.
Responsibilities- Deploy the Global S&OP process, ensuring alignment across regions. Support the S&OP process, facilitating effective coordination between Demand, Supply, Finance, and Business Units.
- Manage and maintain optimal inventory levels, balancing supply with demand.
- Lead Stock Allocation at both regional and market levels (manage stock allocation per market, adapt and approve wholesaler’s orders to ensure timely, consistent, and adequate supply vs estimated patient demand).
- Monitor inventory levels, ensuring optimal balance between customer service, business priorities, and supply constraints. Develop and implement market-level inventory strategies, driving efficiency, minimizing excess and obsolescence, and ensuring product availability.
- Identify and initiate inventory optimization projects to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
- Develop (independently or in cooperation with Cross functional teams) and maintain Supply Chain dashboards, and KPIs to support visibility, performance tracking, and decision-making.
- Define and monitor key supply chain KPIs, analyzing performance trends and driving improvements.
- Strengthen cross-functional collaboration with internal stakeholders, including Operations, Finance, and Commercial teams.
- Manage relationships with external suppliers and partners to ensure supply chain resilience and efficiency.
- Continuously assess and refine planning processes to enhance automation and data-driven decision-making.
- 7–10 years of experience in a global supply chain role, with at least 3 years in planning.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Economics, Life Sciences, or a related field (MBA is a plus).
- Experience in managing cross-functional initiatives; prior managerial experience is an advantage.
- Hands-on experience in leading Inventory Allocation Processes.
- Pharma experience is preferred, familiarity with GDP, quality, technical, and regulatory requirements.
- Strong leadership abilities with a process-oriented mindset.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, both locally and globally.
- Ability to influence without direct authority and drive cross-functional initiatives.
- High level of interpersonal and cross-cultural communication skills to navigate global environments.

- Strong Microsoft Excel / technical skills (VBA, Power Queries)
- Experience in Priority/NetSuite/Qlik Sense - is an advantage.
- Work with Systems to support the automation of current and future processes ensuring data integrity.

- Continuous improvement mindset, assessing and optimizing processes proactively.
- English – fluent. An additional 3rd language is an advantage beyond the local language.
Skills Required
