In this position... 

Ford Racing is looking for an enthusiastic, talented professional to join their motorsports general management group in Allen Park, MI. You will partner with various motorsports and cross-functional teams to further develop a best-in-class Global One-Make Racing Series. 

 

  • You will be responsible for running the existing one-make series (Mustang Cup USA & Australia and Mustang Challenge North America), developing and executing a strategy that will grow the business, conquest new customers and strengthen the Ford Racing brand. 

  • The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic self-starter, be comfortable with ambiguity, and role model Our Ford+ Behaviors – Focus, Excellence and Collaboration.

  • This position requires both a team player and a strategic thinker who is comfortable with ambiguity and capable of informed, independent decision making when required. 

  • This person is influential across the business and capable of communicating with individuals of varying levels of experience, identifying and resolving organizational bottlenecks, and recognizing and/or setting enterprise guardrails. 

  • Passionate about customer experience, this individual must be able to identify the customer, in all capacities, comes first. In collaboration with cross-functional teams, they will develop benchmark customer experiences. 

  • Prior customer racing experience is a must in this role, as is varied exposure and knowledge across Sports Car Racing disciplines. 

Responsibilities

What you'll do...

  • Help Ford Racing to build the best one-make racing series (OMS), enhancing the racing experience for our customers and creating new fans of the brand through the championships within which we compete.

  • Develop and implement market strategies, working with regional Customer Racing Managers, to grow and increase the visibility of the OMS Mustang platforms. Including, vehicle sales, customer acquisition, driver development programs, etc.

  • Define and implement a strategy (where appropriate) for Ford Racing’s entry into additional markets (e.g. Latin America, Europe) 

  • Identify, analyze and present recommendations for new sources of revenue from our existing Customer Racing platforms. 

  • Coordinating with OMS customers on championship entries, vehicle sales, parts sales, vehicle delivery and other related topics.

  • Management of all series and event related topics including managing key stakeholders such as customers, sanctioning bodies, operations and marketing agencies, suppliers, etc. 

  • Work cross-functionally with other departments (Ford Racing Competition / Engineering, Sales and Marketing) to ensure program’s success, achieving KPIs and show consistency in approach, implementation and customer experience.

  • Implement a consistent customer and brand experience across our Motorsports efforts.

  • Manage relationships with new & existing partners supporting the championship and grow the platform as an attractive B2B opportunity. 

  • Prepare presentations on program initiatives, relevant to position, to be shared with key Company stakeholders as required.

  • Manage the logistics and operations needs for any future Mustang Challenge Global Invitational events, (e.g. Spa 24Hr, Le Mans etc). 

  • Liaison with production and engineering team on volume planning, new vehicle development lifecycle for the Dark Horse R.. 

  • Development of global OMS guidelines and regulations standard.

Qualifications

You'll have...

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business / Engineering or related field of study.

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in (Motorsport, customer racing, engineering, sales, strategy, etc.)

This position is a salary grade 5 and ranges from $65,100-$109,300.

This position is a salary grade 6 and ranges from $74,300-$124,500.

This position is a salary grade 7 and ranges from $86,600-$144,900.

This position is a salary grade 8 and ranges from $99,100-$166,200.     

 

Final determination of salary grade will be based on candidate's skills and experience, and base salary will be set within the applicable range according to job scope, responsibility and competitive market value.

 

Internal applicants: moving into this role may result in an adjustment to your current compensation based on the posted pay range for this role, taking into consideration your qualifications and other relevant factors.
