Global Mobility Tax Specialist
Location: Hedehusene, Denmark
Are you passionate about international tax compliance and global mobility? And do you thrive on turning complex tax frameworks into clear, actionable strategies — while being hands-on with the daily operations?
We are now looking for a highly skilled and business-oriented Global Mobility Tax Specialist with solid and vast expertise in international personal income tax, social security, and cross-border employment. This role will be instrumental in ensuring compliance across our global mobility activities and international engineering projects — all while working closely with internal stakeholders and external providers.
Join us and make a difference
In an ever-changing, fast-paced world, we owe it to ourselves and future generations to live life responsibly. At ROCKWOOL, we work relentlessly to enrich modern living through our innovative stone wool solutions.
Your future team
You will become part of a passionate and dynamic international mobility team with colleagues located in Denmark and Poznan.
This role is highly collaborative and works closely with business stakeholders, global HR-stakeholders, our Group Tax, and local and global payroll teams, as well as external partners and consultants.
What you will be doing
In this role, you’ll be both hands-on and strategic. Most of your time will be spent supporting day-to-day operations — primarily related to our large-scale international engineering projects and global assignments. You’ll also advise management, maintain internal tax governance, and ensure compliance with both external and internal standards.
More specifically, you will:
- Act as the subject matter expert on international personal income tax and social security matters, including cross-border employment and mobility taxation.
- Support international project compliance, especially tax and reporting obligations tied to ROCKWOOL’s global engineering projects — where our internal engineering teams travel globally to construct and upgrade production facilities.
- Provide hands-on service and tax advice on global mobility, permanent establishment (PE), tax risk, and compliance challenges.
- Coordinate and review shadow payrolls and tax reconciliation processes across both Global Mobility and International Projects.
- Ensure correct and timely salary and tax calculations for international project workers and assignees when needed.
- Oversee cooperation with external tax vendors and challenge their recommendations when needed.
What you bring
We are looking for someone with a structured, pragmatic mindset who combines technical excellence with strong stakeholder communication skills. You are solution-oriented, professional, and confident in your ability to advise the business while being deeply involved in operational matters.
Your qualifications and experience:
- Minimum 8 years of experience in international tax advisory, global mobility, or a related compliance function with tax expertise.
- Vast knowledge of international personal income tax, social security coordination, and remuneration taxation.
- Experience with tax compliance related to international projects and global engineering teams is a strong advantage.
- Relevant educational background (e.g. Law, , Finance, International Business, Tax , or similar).
- Fluent in English (written and verbal); Danish or other languages are a plus.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills.
- Experience in working in an international matrix organisation with a wide range of stakeholders.
- Plus: Solid understanding of EU Posted Worker Directive (PWD) and how it applies in a global company.
Ready to apply?
If this sounds like your next career move, we look forward to hearing from you. Please submit your CV in English before Monday 28th of July.
