As the Global Messaging Lead, Growth at Navan, you will be a driving force behind our global messaging strategy, taking a lead role in how we articulate our value to the world. This is not just a writing role; it’s a strategic position that blends high-impact copywriting with the leadership of our international expansion efforts. You will own our core messaging for North America while simultaneously building the framework to scale our voice across new regions.
You will be responsible for crafting persuasive, product-based messaging that drives user acquisition, engagement, and conversion across the entire customer funnel. You will also manage a network of regional freelancers and agencies, ensuring our message resonates authentically in every new market we enter.
What You’ll Do
- North American messaging ownership: Lead the development and optimization of all growth-focused copy for the North American market, including ad scripts, landing pages, emails, and web copy.
- Geo-expansion execution: Spearhead content creation for new market launches. You will develop detailed messaging briefs, manage regional insights, and oversee a team of international freelancers and agencies to generate effective, localized advertising and content.
- Strategic collaboration: Act as a key strategic partner to cross-functional teams, including performance marketing, product, design, and regional GTM leads. You will ensure messaging is cohesive and aligned with our business goals.
- PLG & conversion optimization: Craft and test compelling, short-form copy designed to drive product adoption and self-serve conversion. You will continuously run A/B tests and analyze performance data to refine messaging and improve key metrics across all channels and regions.
- Brand voice evangelist: Uphold and evolve our brand voice and tone. You will not only maintain consistency but also guide its application in diverse cultural contexts, mentoring others and serving as the subject matter expert on growth-centric copywriting.
What We’re Looking For:
- 5+ years in growth marketing, conversion copywriting, and messaging with a strong portfolio showcasing successful short-form content (ads, landing pages, email) and data-driven results.
- Experience leading or managing content localization for international markets. You understand how to gather cultural insights and adapt messaging to resonate with diverse audiences.
- Demonstrable experience managing external partners, freelancers, or agencies. You can write clear, creative briefs, provide constructive feedback, and hold partners accountable to deadlines and quality standards.
- World-class writing and editing skills with a meticulous eye for detail and a passion for crafting persuasive, concise copy.
- The ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment, manage complex projects with multiple stakeholders, and take full ownership of your domain from strategy to execution.
- Native English — from US, Canada, UK, or Australia.
