Join Takeda as a Global Medical Strategy & Operations Contracts Manager where you will ensure contracts within Global Medical are compliant with Takeda Legal policy and aligned to the needs of Global Medical's business needs; the Contracts Manager will review final drafts of contracts prior to entry into Takeda's contract management and purchase order system.
You will also Perform timely review of contracts prior to signatures to ensure compliance with Takeda's policies and templates. Ensuring service timeframes are appropriate, delivery and invoicing milestones are fit-for-purpose. Effectively and efficiently support the ecosystem of supplier onboarding, management, contracting and invoicing.
As part of the Global Medical Strategy & Operations team, you will report to the Head Business Operations and work with Global Medical organization.
How you will contribute:

  • Daily review of contracts intended to be submitted for purchase order generation
  • Effectively and timely communicate contracting issues with Business Owners
  • Problem solves contracting issues with Business Owner and Supplier as appropriate
  • Provide direction on contracts management and the contracting process following Legal and Procurement policies
  • Train Business Owners on the contracting process, policies, and procedures
  • Manage and maintain status tracking of open contracts in development
  • Maintain expert knowledge of all relevant Takeda policies and systems
  • Support supplier onboarding registration and maintenance
  • Other tasks and projects as assigned


Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in business management or related field
  • Minimum 5 years of demonstrated experience working in a professional office environment (or equivalent closely related alternate experience) is required.
  • 5 years' experience in contract management
  • 2 years of pharmaceutical industry experience
  • Knowledge of pharmaceutical industry and contracts management experience in cross-functional, global projects within Medical Affairs
  • Experience with procurement processes is preferred
  • Knowledge of performance measurement (e.g. metrics, dashboards)
  • Ability to solve problems and partner with cross-functional Global Medical business partners (Legal, Ethics & Compliance, Procurement, Finance)
  • Ability to learn and apply company policies and SOPs
  • Ability to predict issues, anticipate risks and solve problems
  • Issue identification and independent resolution
  • Ability to work with a diverse group of individuals across various functional areas and organizations
  • Support decision-making within a cross-functional and cross-cultural, global team structure
  • This is a hybrid position requiring minimum 2 days in Takeda office

U.S. Base Salary Range:
Kristin Test
$108,500.00 - $186,000.00
The estimated salary range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual base salary offered may depend on a variety of factors, including the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job. The actual base salary offered will be in accordance with state or local minimum wage requirements for the job location.
U.S. based employees may be eligible for short-term and/ or long-term incentives. U.S. based employees may be eligible to participate in medical, dental, vision insurance, a 401(k) plan and company match, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, a tuition reimbursement program, paid volunteer time off, company holidays, and well-being benefits, among others. U.S. based employees are also eligible to receive, per calendar year, up to 80 hours of sick time, and new hires are eligible to accrue up to 120 hours of paid vacation.
