Job Description

Join JDE Peet's as a Global Media Strategy Specialist within our diverse and dynamic Global Marketing Services team. In this pivotal role, you’ll be responsible for expanding our media reach and shaping innovative, future-proof media plans while developing global strategies. We’re looking for someone who not only brings deep expertise in media strategy but also possesses strong interpersonal skills and a passion for driving success. Your contributions will be essential in enhancing the impact and value we deliver across our global media landscape. Grow, learn, and make a difference with us!

With this said, we like you to take responsibility over the following tasks:

  • Strategic Guidance & Thought Leadership: Act as a subject matter expert, offering strategic advice on media planning, buying, and optimization while staying ahead of trends and emerging platforms.
  • Supervision and Oversight: Guide the development of high-quality media plans aligned with global standards and tailored to regional needs.
  • Framework and Process Development: Develop and implement global media frameworks, processes, and templates to ensure cohesive execution.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with various stakeholders, including brand teams, data teams, and creative agencies, to align media strategies with marketing goals.
  • Performance Monitoring & Insights Sharing: Analyse campaign performance, share insights, and foster a culture of continuous improvement through a global learning agenda.
  • Stakeholder & Agency Management: Build strong relationships with local market teams and agency partners, ensuring alignment with global strategies.
  • Market & Industry Knowledge: Stay informed about global media trends, consumer behaviour, and industry innovations to adapt strategies effectively.

Qualifications

At JDE Peet's, we’re seeking a Global Media Strategy Specialist with a passion for excellence and a strong sense of accountability. In this role, you’ll take on significant responsibility, shaping and driving global media strategies that deliver impactful results. We’re looking for someone with the right level of expertise and seniority to make a real difference, while fully understanding the value you bring to the table.

We thrive in diverse, collaborative teams, and we’re looking for individuals who value this environment as much as we do. While we could list all the "must-haves," we prefer to look at the bigger picture. However, to give you a bit of guidance as to what we feel is needed in this role, we’ll share our “nice to have” list with you:

  • Experience:
    • 7+ years in media planning, buying, and strategy, preferably within FMCG brands.
    • Proven track record in managing media efforts across multiple markets.
    • Expertise in balancing global strategies with local market execution.
  • Skills:
    • Exceptional communication, stakeholder management, and presentation skills.
    • Strong analytical abilities with a data-driven mindset to measure campaign performance effectively.
    • Project management skills to oversee multiple frameworks and timelines across regions.
  • Knowledge:
    • Familiarity with media performance tools and industry trends.
    • Understanding of global media dynamics and the flexibility required for local adaptation.
