The Global Market Expansion Manager is responsible for driving and coordinating VinFast's international market expansion projects from assessment through launch execution. Key Responsibilities
1. Market Expansion Project Management
- Lead end-to-end project management of new market expansion initiatives across multiple international markets.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, timelines, governance structures, milestones, and deliverables.
- Track project progress and ensure timely completion of critical activities.
- Identify project risks, bottlenecks, and dependencies, and drive mitigation actions.
- Escalate critical issues to leadership and facilitate decision-making processes.
2. Cross-functional Coordination
- Act as the central coordination point among HQ functions and local market teams.
- Work closely with Strategy, Sales, Marketing, Finance, Legal, HR, Customer Service, After-sales, Product, Supply Chain, Charging Infrastructure, and other stakeholders.
- Ensure alignment on market launch objectives, priorities, timelines, and resource requirements.
- Drive accountability across functions and monitor execution progress.
3. Market Assessment Consolidation
- Consolidate market assessment outputs and recommendations from various functions.
- Coordinate collection of business, operational, financial, regulatory, and commercial inputs required for market entry decisions.
- Prepare executive-level presentations, business cases, and governance materials for management review.
- Ensure completeness and consistency of market expansion documentation.
4. Market Launch Readiness
- Coordinate readiness activities across all functions involved in market setup and launch.
- Monitor launch readiness checklists and key milestones.
- Ensure legal entity setup, operational processes, workforce planning, systems deployment, and commercial readiness are completed according to plan.
- Facilitate launch readiness reviews and cross-functional alignment sessions.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in PMO, project management, business operations, strategy execution, transformation, or international expansion programs.
- Proven experience managing complex cross-functional projects involving multiple stakeholders.
- Experience in automotive, mobility, retail, technology, manufacturing, consulting, or multinational environments is preferred.
- Experience supporting market launches, business setup, or regional expansion initiatives is highly desirable.
- Experience working with senior executives and international teams.
