Global Manager - Project Management - Logistics

Job Purpose:

Reporting to the Global SVP – Project Management Office, the Global Manager – Project Management – Logistics will support the planning, coordination and delivery of key projects and initiatives across the Logistics business. The role will work with global and regional stakeholders to ensure projects are effectively planned, governed and executed, with clear visibility of milestones, risks, dependencies and outcomes. The Manager will support consistent application of project management standards and help ensure projects are delivered within agreed scope, timelines and budget.

Key Accountabilities;

• Project Delivery & Coordination: Manage and coordinate assigned projects from initiation through delivery. Develop and maintain project plans, milestones, actions and dependencies. Follow up with workstream owners to ensure agreed deliverables are completed on time.
• Project Governance & Reporting: Maintain accurate project status, dashboards and governance documentation. Prepare regular reporting for the Global PMO and senior stakeholders. Track actions and decisions arising from project and governance meetings.
• Risk & Issue Management: Identify and maintain project risks, issues and dependencies. Work with project teams to develop mitigation and recovery actions and escalate material issues where required. Stakeholder Coordination: Coordinate across global functions, regions and project teams to support effective project execution. Facilitate project meetings and ensure actions, owners and deadlines are clearly documented and followed through.
• Planning & Performance Tracking: Monitor delivery against agreed scope, schedule and budget. Analyse project performance and highlight variances, delays and areas requiring management attention.
• PMO Standards & Processes: Apply established PMO methodologies, templates and governance standards across assigned projects. Support improvements to PMO processes, tools, reporting and ways of working.
• Cross-Functional Projects: Support projects involving multiple Logistics functions, regions and enabling functions, including Technology, Finance, People and other relevant stakeholders.
• Integration Support: Where required, support integration activities arising from acquisitions or organisational changes, including planning, dependency management, tracking and reporting.
• Continuous Improvement: Identify practical opportunities to improve project delivery, governance and reporting. Support implementation of agreed improvements and sharing of good practices across the PMO community.
• Quality Assurance: Ensure adherence to project management standards and quality assurance processes. Assist in conducting project reviews and audits as needed.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Supply Chain, Project Management or a related field.
• Project management qualification/certification such as PMP, PRINCE2 or equivalent is desirable.
• 5+ years' relevant experience, including experience managing or coordinating complex projects in a multinational or matrix organisation.
• Experience in logistics, supply chain or transportation is desirable.
• Exposure to integration or business transformation projects is advantageous, rather than making five years of M&A experience mandatory.
• Strong working knowledge of project management methodologies, governance, risk management and reporting.
• Strong analytical, organisational and problem-solving capabilities.
• Ability to work across functions and geographies and engage effectively with stakeholders at different organisational levels.
• Strong written and verbal English
• Experience in the logistics or transportation industry is desirable but not essential.
