Responsible for the generation of statistics and graphs for reporting of customer service and quality control data, route review, and financial tracking. Participates in negotiation of carrier and courier rates. Works in conjunction with and at the request of Sales to facilitate the delivery and arrival of patient specimens to MML. Tracks shipments to and from MML and assists in the recovery and expediting of delayed shipments Acts as a resource person for sales and operations in designing and implementing international shipping solutions for MML clients. Assists, MML Packaging and other areas with issues involving international shipments, including customs clearance, expediting, and intervention on distressed shipments. Orders department and courier supplies as needed. Acts as a resource person for IATA, DOT, and international regulations. Responsible for the design and testing of shipping containers and shipping methods. Monitors expenses and audits vendor invoices and prepares them for approval by the Supervisor.

QualificationsHigh School diploma or GED and four years of transportation-related experience required.
Associate degree in Supply Chain Management, Business or related business-discipline and two years of transportation-related experience is preferred.
Additional Qualifications:
At least five years of prior experience in business, customer service, human relations and/or accounting is preferred.
Must have skills in systems analysis, planning, and negotiating.
Experience with couriers or logistics systems is a plus.
Above average human relations, customer service, and communication skills are necessary to deal with clients, couriers and vendors.
Must be self-motivated, possess strong organizational and computer skills, work independent of direct supervision, and strive for excellence in serving our broad customer base.
Computer skills and working with databases also needed, and Lawson experience is helpful.
