This role is responsible for understanding business needs, shaping IT demand, ensuring effective solution delivery, and managing the IT application portfolio for Revenue Management across the Europe and International regions and its markets focused on operational stability, strategic planning and value creation.

Role Purpose:

To act as the primary strategic interface between the European Revenue Management business functions (including Gross-to-Net management, optimization, pricing, Tenders and related Order-to-Cash processes) and the Technology organization.

This role is responsible for understanding business needs, shaping IT demand, ensuring effective solution delivery, and managing the IT application portfolio for Revenue Management across the Europe and International regions and its markets focused on operational stability, strategic planning and value creation.

Key Responsibilities:

Business Relationship & Stakeholder Management:

  • Serve as the single point of contact and trusted IT advisor for senior Revenue Management stakeholders across the European region and individual markets.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships, understanding business priorities, challenges, and strategic objectives related to Revenue Management.
  • Translate business strategies and requirements into actionable IT initiatives and roadmaps.

IT Strategy & Portfolio Management:

  • Develop and maintain the IT application roadmap for European Revenue Management, aligning with both business goals and overall Technology strategy.
  • Map existing business processes and the supporting IT landscape within the Revenue Management domain for Europe.
  • Proactively identify opportunities where technology can drive efficiency, optimization, or competitive advantage in GtN and pricing.
  • Develop compelling business cases for new IT investments, clearly articulating value and expected outcomes.

Solution Delivery & Oversight:

  • Oversee the lifecycle of Revenue Management IT applications used in Europe, from demand intake through to implementation and operational stability.
  • Lead or provide senior oversight for IT projects within the domain, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and meet business requirements. Act as or closely manage the assigned Project Manager.
  • Collaborate with technical teams and external partners on solution design and engineering, ensuring feasibility and alignment with architectural standards.
  • Manage relationships and performance of external vendors and service providers critical to the Revenue Management IT landscape.

Operational Stability & Transition:

  • Prioritize and oversee activities related to stabilizing existing Revenue Management applications ("keeping the lights on").
  • Manage the IT aspects of migrating relevant applications and processes to the standalone Sandoz environment post-spin-off.
  • Ensure smooth transitions and minimal disruption to business operations during system changes or migrations.

Required Experience & Qualifications:

  • Seniority: Proven experience operating at a Lead, Principal, or Director level within an IT organization.
  • IT Business Partnering / BRM: Minimum 8-10 years of experience in IT Business Partner or Business Relationship Management roles, acting as the strategic interface between IT and senior business stakeholders.
  • Pharmaceutical Industry: Deep understanding of the European pharmaceutical market landscape, commercial models, and specifically the business processes related to Revenue Management (Gross-to-Net, Pricing, Tenders, Rebates, Order-to-Cash).
  • Technical Acumen: Strong background in business analysis, solution engineering/design, and familiarity with typical Revenue Management / GtN / Pricing application platforms (e.g., SAP modules, Vistex, Model N, Highradius, custom solutions).
  • Project & Vendor Management: Demonstrated experience leading complex IT projects or providing significant oversight. Proven ability to manage external software vendors and implementation partners effectively.
  • Transitional Environments: Experience working within environments undergoing significant change, such as mergers, acquisitions, or spin-offs, is highly advantageous.
  • Core Skills: Expertise in requirements gathering, process mapping (as-is/to-be), IT landscape mapping, and business case development.
  • Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related 1 field.  
  • Location/Travel: Ability to work effectively within a European context, potentially requiring some travel to key markets or hubs.
