Job Description:

The Global Lead, M&M’S Immersive Experiences will define and lead the global strategy for how consumers experience M&M'S across our connected ecosystem of physical and digital touchpoints.

This role is responsible for developing the long-term vision, strategic priorities, and execution oversight for branded immersive experiences, ensuring they work together to deliver a seamless and engaging consumer journey.

A critical transformation for this leader will be connecting historically siloed channels, including M&M'S retail stores, M&M'S.com, brand activations, sponsorship experiences, and digital content experiences, into an integrated ecosystem that amplifies brand equity, drives engagement, and drives business growth.

The role will partner closely with Brand & Content, Digital, Retail, Regional Marketing, and Commercial teams to ensure immersive experiences are planned, designed, executed, and optimized as a unified consumer journey.

What are we looking for?

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, Design, Retail, Digital Commerce, or related field required, MBA or other advanced degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in brand marketing, consumer experience, experiential marketing, retail experience, digital experience, or related disciplines.
  • Experience leading large-scale consumer experience programs.
  • Demonstrated success managing cross-functional and agency partnerships.
  • Experience leading both digital and physical experience ecosystems preferred.
  • Retail and direct-to-consumer experience preferred.
  • Experience with flagship retail concepts, experiential activation, and digital engagement platforms preferred.
  • Experience working within global or multi-market organizations.

What will be your key responsibilities?

Define the Global Immersive Experiences Strategy

  • Develop the global vision and strategic roadmap for M&M'S immersive experiences across physical and digital channels.
  • Establish the role immersive experiences will play in strengthening brand equity, driving consumer engagement, and driving growth.
  • Identify opportunities to create connected experiences across retail, digital, content, and brand activations.
  • Champion a consumer-centric approach grounded in consumer insights, cultural relevance, and emerging experience trends.

Lead the Connected M&M'S Experience Ecosystem

  • Transform the current fragmented experience landscape into a connected global ecosystem.
  • Ensure M&M'S Stores, M&M'S.com, experiential activations, sponsorship programs, and digital content environments work together as a cohesive brand experience.
  • Build frameworks that enable consistency while allowing for regional and local market adaptation.
  • Create clear experience principles and design standards that guide future development.

Physical Immersive Experiences Leadership

  • Provide strategic leadership and oversight for M&M'S branded physical experiences globally.
  • Oversee experience strategy for:
    • M&M'S retail stores
    • Cultural experiences
    • Partnership activations
    • Experiential elements supporting major brand campaigns
  • Ensure experiences meaningfully reinforce the M&M'S brand narrative while delivering measurable business outcomes.
  • Partner closely with Retail and Commercial teams on planning and operational considerations.

Digital Immersive Experiences Leadership

  • Lead strategy and governance for M&M'S digital experience platforms.
  • Oversee the evolution of M&M'S.com as a key consumer engagement and experience destination.
  • Partner with Brand & Content and Social teams to define digital content requirements that support immersive experiences.
  • Ensure digital experiences are integrated with physical touchpoints to create connected consumer journeys.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and platforms that can enhance brand storytelling and engagement.

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Serve as the central connector across Brand & Content, Retail, Digital, Consumer Experience, Regional Teams, and agency partners.
  • Lead integrated planning processes that align experience development with global brand priorities.
  • Influence senior stakeholders across functions and geographies to drive alignment and prioritization.
  • Ensure operational, technical, commercial, and consumer considerations are incorporated from concept through execution.

Measurement and Optimization

  • Establish KPIs and success metrics for immersive experiences across physical and digital environments.
  • Develop measurement frameworks linking experiences to brand health, consumer engagement, traffic, conversion, and business performance.
  • Lead ongoing optimization efforts through consumer feedback, analytics, and post-program evaluations.

Leadership Responsibilities

The Global Lead, M&M’S Immersive Experiences will directly manage:

  • Manager, M&M’S Physical Immersive Experiences: Responsible for leading the development and execution of physical brand experiences, including retail experiences, cultural experiences, and sponsorship activations.
  • Manager, M&M’S Digital Immersive Experiences: Responsible for leading digital experience strategy, M&M'S.com evolution, and digital content integration supporting immersive brand experiences.
  • The role is expected to build a highly collaborative, high-performing team culture focused on creativity, operational excellence, and consumer-centric innovation.

The base pay range for this position at commencement of employment is between the range listed below, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position will include variable pay, medical and dental benefits, participation in 401k plan, and paid time off benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an applicant receives an offer of employment.

The pay range shown is applicable to all US locations listed within the job posting:USD 134,400.00 - USD 184,800.00
