About the role

As a pivotal leader within the Haleon commercial function, you will lead a 3rd party analytics account to oversee and cater to business regional and category-specific analytics and insights needs. You will closely collaborate with global Consumer & Business Insights & Analytics (CBIA) leaders to deliver effective analytics and insight solutions, ensuring continuity and business value.

Key responsibilities

  • Strategic Collaboration: Partner with 3rd party leaders to address critical business drivers, including cost, capability, culture, and continuity, ensuring uninterrupted service delivery to business.
  • Business Objective Alignment: Define and drive business objectives across service domains, ensuring alignment between business and 3rd party account teams for successful execution and accomplishment.
  • Commercial Synergy: Regularly connect with commercial business teams to identify opportunities for synergy and cost efficiency across domains. Develop and implement business strategies to achieve domain-specific success.
  • Innovation Initiatives: Lead initiatives to facilitate and streamline current delivery processes, driving innovation within the business support function.
  • Team Culture and Monitoring: Monitor offshore account team behaviour, needs, and emerging trends to maintain a healthy and positive culture. Proactively address potential concerns and implement solutions to mitigate issues.
  • Cultural Alignment: Act as the key custodian of business culture within the 3rd party account team, ensuring they stay updated and aligned with business priorities and progressions.
  • Feedback and Review: Conduct monthly reviews with business leaders across domains to gather feedback on progress and determine next steps. Ensure alignment on business priorities to achieve desired outcomes from the 3rd party account teams.
  • Domain Expertise: Utilize domain knowledge and experience to enhance business understanding of consumer, market, and competitive environments, thereby driving broader perspectives in the support function.
  • Technical Proficiency: Leverage technical expertise in analytical tools to proactively assess business needs and translate them into actionable outcomes.
  • Analytic Planning: Identify key business issues and questions, developing appropriate analytic plans to address these needs effectively.
  • Integrated Knowledge: Synthesize knowledge from multiple sources to drive meaningful interpretations and recommendations that address business issues, ensuring alignment with key business partners.
  • Implementation Influence: Influence others to implement action steps that drive business success.
  • This role requires a dynamic leader who can seamlessly integrate strategic thinking with operational execution, ensuring that 3rd party teams deliver consistent, high-value support to the business.

Why you?Basic Qualifications:We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:

  • Educational Background: Must have a post-graduate degree or equivalent in Management, Operations, Market Research, or Pharma.
  • Industry Experience: 15-20 years of experience in the Pharma or FMCG industry, with a minimum of 7-10 years managing teams of over 30 resources. Client-side experience is highly desirable.
  • Client-Side Account Management: Proven experience in managing client-side accounts and working with various stakeholders within a Pharma or FMCG organization.
  • Analytical Experience: Must have hands-on experience with commercial data (RMS, Media, Panel) in the Pharma/FMCG sector.
  • Business Intelligence Tools: Proficiency in business intelligence tools such as Power BI and Tableau is required.

Preferred Qualifications:If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:

  • Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead a team and drive business growth.
  • Advanced Analytics: Experience with advanced analytical techniques (e.g., Pricing, Marketing Mix Models)
  • Technical Skills: Database management and programming capabilities are advantageous.
  • Analytical Expertise: Proven experience in analytics, shopper research, consumer insights, or a combination of these with strong analytical skills.
  • Strategic Thinking: Strong analytical thinking with the ability to connect data and insights from category consumption, brand drivers, macro and micro trends, and future consumer change forces to deliver clear business outlooks and implications.
  • Influence and Decision-Making: Ability to influence cross-functional teams and upper management, providing insights and analytics-backed opinions and confidently impacting decision-making.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to analyse complex or ambiguous problems and communicate solutions clearly and concisely. Data visualization skills are essential.
  • Technical and Market Research Expertise: Proficient in a range of quantitative research techniques and syndicated business analyses, with the ability to apply advanced analytics to solve business issues.
  • Team Collaboration: Strong team player with a high degree of independence.
  • Presentation Skills: Excellent presentation and articulation skills.
  • Attention to Detail: Rigorous with great attention to detail, highly numerate, and adept at working with data.
  • Creativity and Adaptability: Passionate about going beyond the obvious, creative, and open-minded, with the ability to adjust quickly in a fast-paced and changing environment.
  • Support and Flexibility: Willingness and flexibility to offer full support to regional, global, and strategic business teams.
