As a Vice President in Hong Kong IPO Team under Global Investment Banking, You will work with expert professionals at the heart of a leading global investment bank. Senior bankers will get to know you - both as a person and as a valued member of a winning team. You will use your related experience to contribute to the firm's IPO execution and capital raising capabilities while helping build J.P. Morgan's franchise and reputation in the marketplace. You will develop strong functional skills in the major areas of investment banking and become a senior client executive who is capable of generating and executing your own transactions. Job Responsibilities:
- Acting as the primary point of contact for clients, providing strategic advice on IPO strategy, valuation, and market positioning.
- Developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients, ensuring clear communication and alignment of objectives.
- Conducting thorough due diligence on the company seeking to go public, including financial analysis, business model evaluation, and risk assessment.
- Reviewing necessary documentation for the IPO, such as the prospectus, financial statements, and regulatory filings.
- Ensuring compliance with Hong Kong Listing Rules, Securities and Futures Ordinance (SFO), and other relevant regulations.
- Liaising with regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements.
- Managing the execution of the IPO, including coordinating with various stakeholders such as legal advisors, auditors, and underwriters.
- Assisting in the valuation of the company and determining the appropriate pricing for the IPO shares.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including ECM, corporate finance, legal, and compliance teams, to ensure seamless execution
- Supervising and mentoring junior team members, such as Analysts and Associates, in executing IPO-related tasks.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills:
- Bachelor Degree in Finance, Economics or other related fields.
- Minimum 6 year of work experience in an investment banking front office, or related role.
- Close attention to detail and ability to deliver output of a very high standard
- Ability to work independently
- Strong communication and written skills in English and Chinese
- Ability to deliver quality under pressure
- Strong emphasis on good partnership, and a control-conscious team-working environment
- Demonstrate self-motivation and initiation, with a strong desire to learn the business and go the extra mile
- Strong analytical bend of mind and expert handling of MS Office suite products
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
- Awareness of investment banking solutions, regulatory backdrop, and services is a plus
