We are hiring an Innovation Flavorist to join our Re-IMAGINE SIMPLE Innovation team, based in the global Creative center of the Taste Division in Hilversum, NL.
The purpose of the RE-IMAGINE SIMPLE Innovation program is to bring simplicity to food and beverage recipes, by crafting new label-friendly and sustainable taste technologies. Our Innovation focus areas are:

Natural processing technologies including Biotechnologies, enabling label-friendly ingredient declaration with recognizable ingredients.

Open Innovation to introduce new Taste Solutions, enabling Sustainability Positioning with a special emphasis on Upcycling.

Collaboration to develop Transparent & Responsible Supply Chains
Your role
-
Provide Flavor raw material selection and creation expertise in end-to-end taste ingredient innovation, following IFF’s 5D Stage-Gate innovation process.

Technical leadership for projects, collaborating with project management, R&D, commercial flavorists and designers, Regulatory, Sensory science and more.

Activation of a Global network of flavorists, for creative exploration of new ingredients, rigorous validation and effective adoption in the different regions

Development of the first inspiring and great-tasting flavors including our new ingredients, leveraging your knowledge of industrial standards, and market requirements.
Ways of working

You will work as part of a highly experienced team with diverse background in our Hilversum Creative center and will get guidance from a Senior Innovation flavorist.

You work independently and take ownership of your projects, while collaborating with diverse cross-functional teams.

You will ensure your activities are in line with IFF policies, and Global Innovation Rules as well as safety, hygiene, and efficient day-to-day operations of the Re-Imagine Simple Innovation Laboratory.
Job Requirements

Minimum Master’s Degree in Food Science and Technology or related disciplines (such as Chemistry, Biochemistry, and Human Nutrition)

Minimum 5 years’ experience in the flavor industry with completed qualifying Flavorist training Program.

Experience with Food and beverage sensory test protocols.

Excellent English written and verbal communications, additional language are considered a plus.

Comfortable with IT Systems, eager to adopt new On-line collaboration and AI tools.

Excellent Communication skills with the ability to influence.
