Global Head of Supply Chain Management

Adyen is seeking an entrepreneurial and strategic leader with a proven track record in continuous improvement and driving innovation in a rapidly growing environment. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the key drivers in the supply chain world, including vendor management, planning and logistics. We are looking for someone who can help us build a highly effective and motivated team to manage the purchasing, warehousing, logistics, and services of our hardware offering.


What you’ll do

Strategic leadership

  • Develop vision and strategy, and execute the global supply chain strategy aligned with Adyen’s overall business objectives and rapid company growth;
  • Identify and implement innovative solutions to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the supply chain;
  • Maintain a high standard of results through data-driven decisions, simplification, and scalability;
  • Build strong working relationships with internal stakeholders and contribute to the commercial success of the product.

Team leadership and development

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing global supply chain team;
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and excellence within the team;
  • Ensure the team has the necessary skills and resources to achieve their goals.

Operational excellence

  • Oversee the global end-to-end supply chain operations, including supply and demand management, forward and reverse logistics, inventory management, and distribution;
  • Optimize supply chain processes to improve service levels and increase operational efficiency;
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and vendors;
  • Monitor supplier performance and address any issues or challenges proactively;
  • Drive adoption of technologies and digital solutions to enhance supply chain capabilities.

Risk Management and Compliance

  • Identify potential risks within the supply chain and develop mitigation strategies;
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, standards, and ethical practices.


Who you are

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in supply chain management, with a track record of success in a global leadership role;
  • Strong leadership abilities with a proactive and hands-on approach, coupled with strategic decision-making skills;
  • Experience in managing senior managers is essential;
  • Proven ability to negotiate, influence internal and external stakeholders, and achieve results;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling seamless collaboration with a diverse, multicultural team across different time zones;
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment;
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
  • Proficiency in understanding and resolving complex problems, driving change and improvement programs.
