Define global test strategy for software test at BEUMER Group
When millions of people every year check in their luggage in one airport and picking it up in another, it is due to the quality of BEUMER Groups complex baggage handling systems and the software running it. The level of quality is also present in our logistics solutions, where distribution centers daily sort thousands of parcels to be delivered all over the world.
As Head of our Software Test-department, you will define and lead our software test strategy to secure the highest efficiency in our test processes. The test department is eventually responsible for the quality of projects and products, meaning you have the final saying in whether a product or project is released or not.
Your responsibilities will also be:
- Lead and develop the software test department, including budget responsibility and staff management.
- Collaborate with our software development teams to integrate testing into our software development process and software projects.
- Ensure automation of software test processes to improve efficiency and reduce errors in our software releases - where appropriate.
- Monitor and evaluate software testing activities to ensure compliance with market standards and best practices.
- Identify, and if needed, implement new software methodologies and new testing tools
- Define and establish a training program within software testing for software developers.
As a global head of software test, you must also identify and implement our future use of AI technics during software test design and execution.
As you get to learn the organization and grow with the role, we over time see this position turning into a department manager,
Solid experience with high quality software testing
We expect you to have a proven track record with software testing and quality assurance, combined with extensive knowledge within test and project management
We also imagine that you:
- Possess a relevant technical education (e.g., Master in computer science, software development, or engineering).
- Certified in TMap Suite Test Master or ISTQB Advanced Test Manager.
- Have experience in leading a software test team
- Knowledge of software test automation and modern software testing tools.
- Experience with software development methodologies and software test processes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across the Software Solution organization.
- Ability to work both strategically and operationally
