About the role:

The Global Head of Run, PaaS Operations is responsible for ensuring the stability, scalability, and performance of the PaaS platform. This role focuses on optimizing operational processes, managing cross-functional collaboration, and delivering continuous improvement in service delivery. The Head of Run will lead a high-performing team and work closely with key stakeholders to align operational goals with the company's strategic vision.

What you will be responsible for:

Operational Excellence:

  • Lead the end-to-end operational value chain for PaaS, ensuring efficiency and scalability.
  • Maintain high standards of service reliability, availability, and performance.
  • Define and monitor Service Level Objectives (SLOs) and Indicators (SLIs) to measure operational success.
  • Support Service Level Agreements (SLAs) with clients, ensuring consistent delivery.
  • Lead the end-to-end operational integration of PaaS with other Products and Services within the SimCorp One catalogue.

Collaboration and Stakeholder Management:

  • Align closely with the Head of Onboarding, Head of Delivery Excellence, Engineering Director/s, PaaS Service Owner, Continuous Improvement Lead, Product Owners, and Service Delivery Managers to streamline operational and Run processes.
  • Facilitate prioritization meetings with stakeholders to ensure alignment on key initiatives.
  • Establish transparent communication for operational updates and performance insights.

People Management:

  • Lead a team of Product Owners and Operational Delivery Managers, setting clear goals and ensuring the delivery of these goals.
  • Promote a culture of innovation, continuous learning, and professional development, working with the Engineering Director/s.

Strategic Planning and Execution:

  • Define and communicate the vision and strategy for PaaS Run Operations.
  • Develop and execute a roadmap for operational projects, aligning them with business goals.
  • Make data-driven decisions based on financial performance and key metrics.
  • Promote understanding and adoption of the SimCorp One strategy and articulate what is required from Platform Operation to deliver this corporate strategy, engaging with all the necessary stakeholders.

Reporting and Accountability:

  • Provide regular updates to senior stakeholders on operational performance.
  • Act as the primary escalation point for operational issues, ensuring timely resolution.
  • Drive transparency in reporting, emphasizing accountability for results.

Accountability:

  • Take responsibility for the management of PaaS operations, focusing on maintaining service performance and efficiency.
  • Hold teams accountable for achieving goals, tracking KPIs, and managing risks.
  • Ensure operational risks are proactively identified and mitigated to maintain service integrity.

Change Management:

  • Lead change initiatives designed and executed by Delivery Excellence, ensuring smooth transitions when implementing new processes, tools, or systems.
  • Engage stakeholders to foster understanding and acceptance of changes.
  • Ensure continuous improvement, ensuring that operational enhancements are adopted effectively.

Innovation and Automation:

  • Collaborate with the PaaS Service Owner to adopt innovation by exploring and implementing new technologies to improve service delivery.
  • Thought leadership in identifying areas for automation such repetitive tasks, enhancing operational efficiency and reducing overhead.
  • Promote a culture of creative problem-solving and innovation across the team.

What we value (our requirements):

  • Proven experience in managing Platform Operations, SaaS/PaaS, or similar roles.
  • Proven leadership, stakeholder management, and collaboration skills.
  • Deep understanding of operational metrics (SLOs, SLIs, SLAs) and their impact on performance.
  • Experience with change management and driving automation in operations.
  • Solid strategic mindset with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • Advanced communication skills and the ability to engage with senior leadership.
