We are seeking an experienced and visionary leader to join our team as the Head of Product Insights & Design reporting directly to the Chief Product Officer (CPO). This role is instrumental in shaping and driving the strategic direction of our Product Design, Research & Insights, and Documentation functions across our diverse product portfolio. Our products span from Marketing Automation to Search & Discovery to Conversational Shopping experiences. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in product design, user-centered methodologies, Research & Insights, and documentation management, coupled with a proven track record in building high-performing teams and delivering exceptional user-centric products.Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
- Define and articulate a compelling vision and strategy for Product Insights & Design that aligns with overall business objectives.
- Lead creation of visionary artefacts that guide our customers, partners and employees into the future experience
- Lead the development of comprehensive product roadmaps informed by market analysis, customer Research & Insights, competitive benchmarking, and emerging industry trends.
Team Management & Development
- Build, mentor, and manage a high-performing team comprising product designers, UX researchers, insights analysts, and documentation specialists.
- Foster a collaborative culture emphasizing innovation, continuous learning, user-centricity, and excellence in execution.
- Demonstrated experience leading and working with distributed teams across continents
Product Design & User Experience
- Oversee end-to-end product design processes across web and mobile platforms ensuring exceptional usability, accessibility, visual aesthetics, and brand consistency.
- Champion design thinking methodologies throughout the organization to drive innovative solutions and enhance user experiences.
Research & Insights
- Direct qualitative and quantitative Research & Insights initiatives to deeply understand customer behaviors, needs, preferences, and pain points.
- Translate Research & Insights findings into actionable strategies that inform product decisions across the portfolio.
Documentation
- Lead Docs team lead who owns the creation and maintenance of clear, comprehensive documentation standards for internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Develop persuasive storytelling techniques to effectively communicate design rationale, Research & Insights findings, product strategies, and performance metrics to senior leadership.
Cross-functional Collaboration
- Partner closely with Product Management, Engineering, Marketing, Sales, and Customer Success teams to ensure alignment on product vision, priorities, execution timelines, and go-to-market strategies.
- Facilitate effective communication across teams to proactively resolve conflicts and ensure cohesive delivery of exceptional products.
- Willingness to travel to occasional leadership events and offsites to ensure strategic input is provided in person
Innovation & Industry Trends
- Stay current with the latest developments in AI tools and emerging technologies relevant to Marketing Automation, Search & Discovery systems, Conversational Shopping experiences, Product Design methodologies, and Research & Insights practices.
- Continuously evaluate new tools and frameworks to enhance productivity, innovation capability, user experience quality, and competitive advantage.
Performance Measurement & Optimization
- Define clear success metrics (KPIs) for evaluating product performance; continuously monitor adoption rates, customer satisfaction scores (CSAT), engagement metrics, revenue impact metrics, retention rates, etc.
- Leverage data-driven insights to iterate on existing products and identify opportunities for new innovations or enhancements.
Qualifications & Skills
- Minimum of 10+ years experience in Product Design or UX/UI leadership roles; at least 3 years at (Sr.) Director or VP level managing large teams in high-growth technology companies.
- Proven track record of successfully leading multi-disciplinary teams (designers/researchers/documentation specialists) delivering exceptional B2B or B2C digital products at scale.
- Demonstrated experience managing complex product portfolios spanning multiple domains such as Marketing Automation platforms, Search & Discovery systems or Conversational Shopping solutions is highly preferred.
- Deeply rooted in user-centered design principles
- Strong background in UI/UX, familiarity with accessible design standards
- Exceptional strategic thinking capabilities combined with hands-on execution skills; ability to balance short-term tactical priorities with long-term strategic goals.
- Strong communication skills with proven ability to influence stakeholders across all organizational levels; adept at storytelling to articulate complex concepts clearly.
