The Global Business Platforms & Services is responsible for defining, delivering, and continuously improving the Business Platforms & Services (non-SAP). The role ensures those solutions are reliable, compliant, harmonized, and aligned with Sandoz’s business strategy and Tech roadmap.This role drives standardization, simplification, and continuous improvement ensuring the enterprise application landscape to enable Sandoz’s productivity, quality, and growth aspirations.
Job Description
Major accountabilities:
Strategic Leadership
Develop and execute the none-SAP business platforms & services strategy aligned with enterprise goals.
Define governance frameworks, standards, and methodologies for solution delivery.
Solution Design & Delivery
Own end‑to‑end solution design for non-SAP business platforms & services, ensuring architectural integrity from strategy through delivery and run.
Act as the global guardian of the landscape, governing standards, reference architectures, and design quality while leading end‑to‑end programs from blueprint to stabilization.
Continuously evaluate emerging technologies, tools, and innovations (e.g., AI/automation, integration patterns) and curate an adoption roadmap with measurable business impact.
Ensure operational excellence, stability, and adherence to SLAs across all platform services.
Drive harmonization and simplification by reducing platform fragmentation and legacy system dependencies.
Ensure platform interoperability with SAP and other enterprise systems
Operational Excellence
Ensure compliance with regulatory, GxP, data privacy, cybersecurity, and audit requirements across all platforms.
Identify and mitigate risks related to platform scalability, reliability, security, and vendor dependency.
· Oversee change and release management to guarantee safe, predictable deployments across environment
Optimize cost‑to‑serve through demand management, vendor negotiations, and rationalization initiatives.
Team Leadership & Collaboration
Build, mentor, and manage a high performing, future-fit business platforms & services team fostering a culture of innovation and accountability.
Foster strong collaboration with Technology and business stakeholders, project teams, and external partners.
Promote agile ways of working, knowledge sharing, training, and capability development across the organization.
Governance & Vendor Management
Manage relationships with providers, system integrators, and technology partners.
Establish platform governance, standards, and lifecycle management across domains.
Oversee licensing, contracts, and vendor performance.
Ensure adherence to architectural standards, change management processes, and project governance.

Minimum Requirements:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology Business Administration, or related field; (Master’s degree is preferred)
Expert knowledge and experience in key platforms products (e.g. Veeva).
Certification in project management methods (Agile, ITIL, Prince 2, PMI) is a plus.
Experience with Agile/DevOps methodologies; Certification is a plus
Work Experience and Skills:
12+ years of experience in project delivery and/or application management or IT services within a multinational organization. Key skills include strategic planning, financial acumen, and team leadership
Demonstrated track record in on premise and cloud-based enterprise solutions (Salesforce, Veeva, SAP, Cornerstone, Beamex, LIMS etc.)
Experience with ITIL frameworks and other service management methodologies.
Collaborative leader with strong influencing skills across business and tech., who builds trust and drives alignment.
Strategic thinker with a pragmatic, hands-on approach.
Strong communicator who can translate complex IT topics for senior stakeholders.
Strong problem solver who thrives in complex environments.
